I want to remodel my RV. How do I know where I can drill?
Dear Dave,
I want to do some remodeling on my RV. I want to take the sofa out and add more counter space. But to do so, I will need to screw into floors and walls. My questions: How do I know where it is safe to drill? How do I avoid wiring? Is there a diagram of what’s inside the walls? No one ever discusses how to do this properly and safely. Thanks! —Connie, 2017 Thor ACE 29.4 Click here for Dave’s answer.

RV inspector recommends 3 best brands of used Class A motorhomes
By Cheri Sicard
Duane, our favorite certified RV inspector from the RV Inspection and Care YouTube channel, is back with his picks of the best brands of used Class A motorhomes.
Duane’s advice, as always, is down-to-earth and practical. And buying used when it comes to RVs is nothing if not practical. After all, you can save a TON of money by buying used over new. Not only that, your used RV might come with all the bells and whistles that might have pushed the budget on a new unit over the top. Continue reading.

The YouTube shorts video below from ADF Sprinters highlights a new and unique camper van bed design that I had not previously seen. Finally, a gas lighter that works—without gas!
By Russ and Tiña De Maris
We’ve struggled for years with lighting LP. Even now, when everything is handy, we still have to light the burners on the stove top, or the oven down below. Sure, we have piezo lighters on the burners, but sometimes they don’t work, and occasionally they cop out altogether. We needed a gas lighter that we could count on. Continue reading.

Quick tip
Add longevity to your roof vent lids
One clever RVer sprayed his roof vent lids with automotive clear coat. He did it so that dirt and dust wouldn’t stick to the vents, but found that it added nearly a decade of longevity to the lids. You can get it in a spray can, like this from Amazon.

?? MYSTERY PRODUCT OF THE DAY ??
Have you ever wanted to appear like you go to the gym every day? Well, if you carry this around the campground with you, everyone will think you’re the strongest person around! This made us laugh.
And the survey says…
We’ve polled RVtravel.com readers more than 2,500 times in recent years. Here are a few things we’ve learned about them:
• 51 percent of men say they usually or always wear a hat, and 9 percent of women say they usually or always wear a hat.
• 20 percent say if they had the opportunity to go into outer space they’d go with no questions asked! An additional 17 percent said they’d go, but only if they knew they’d come back.
• 11 percent had an imaginary friend as a child.
Recent poll: Should you tip campground workers if they help you?

Slow Cooker Fajitas
by Melissa Lewis from Romney, WV
Fajitas are an easy dinner option and this slow cooker version is fabulous. The meat is tender and absorbs the flavor of the spices and jalapeno. We opted for steak, but chicken would be super tasty too. These Crock Pot fajitas are great if you’re busy and figuring out dinner. The slow cooker does all the work for you. Just set out your favorite toppings and each family member can assemble their own fajitas. Click here for the recipe.
Trivia
Do you ever get a catchy song stuck in your head — it plays over and over, like on a loop? Psychologists call these repeating melodies “earworms.” Other phrases often used to describe them include “musical imagery repetition” and “involuntary musical imagery.” We like earworms best.

And they say that if you have an earworm, that you should think of “It’s a Small World After All” from Disney. “Experts” say it’s the best earworm killer out there!
Its also the worst earworm to be stuck inside your head with..
He said: Earworm KILLER. “It’s a Small World After All” could very well kill you if it gets stuck.
Hum or say the NBC jingle out loud. It is only 3 notes so it won’t stick but for some reason removes the existing earworm.
Headlight coating: Catalyst clear coats like the one mentioned are very dangerous if inhaled even slightly. Be sure to wear a cartridge respirator when using any product like this.
There is a ear worm that be found in ears of corn too.
Thank you, Emily and Diane! 🙂 Great picture, Karen! 🙂 The water bottle shaped like a dumbbell seems awfully cumbersome and clumsy. Have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
