It’s time to rethink RVing with an Instant Pot

By Russ and Tiña De Maris
When we polled readers regarding RVing with an Instant Pot. We were really surprised to learn only 35% of respondents had ever tried cooking with one. Back in the day when we taught RV classes for newbies, one mantra was, “Keep it simple. Save space. Take things that have more than one use.” For our RV galley, the three-way Instant Pot is a winner. BaconMakes a great gift!
Bacon without all the grease? Yup, it’s possible!
This incredible microwave bacon cooker is loved (we mean REALLY loved) by everyone (look at those reviews!). It doesn’t cook in the fat so it’s much healthier but still has that great taste everyone loves. It reduces fat up to 35 percent, which means you can justify eating 35 percent more bacon! It’s easy to use and dishwasher-safe. Learn more or order.

Quick tip
Dress up your rig’s screen door

Looking for a quick but cute “dress up” mod for your RV? Here’s an interesting one—stencil your screen door. Yep, with an easily obtainable stencil, a bit of paint, and a few minutes, you too can make your RV unique. And as our source, Mrs. Padilly, found out, not only does your new screen spruce-up look good with the front door open, if you have the typical door relight glass, it’ll welcome visitors even with the door closed. And the survey says…

We’ve polled RVtravel.com readers more than 2,500 times in recent years. Here are a few things we’ve learned about them:

• 6 percent admit to hating when they’re proven wrong in an argument.
• 52 percent do not eat sushi.
• 73 percent have seen Yellowstone’s Old Faithful geyser erupt in person.

Trivia

Did you know Lady Liberty wears a size 879 shoe? That’s based on the length of her 25-foot long feet. The 151-foot copper statue, a gift from the people of France, was dedicated on October 28, 1886, and became a national monument in 1924. The statue’s light green color is caused by natural weathering of its copper layer, which is 3/32 of an inch thick (less than the thickness of two pennies).

Standard poodles are indeed very smart dogs. The breed is being ruined by all of the mutt mixes…

And I just can’t believe how much money people pay for MUTTS!!!!! I LOVE mutts!
I don’t care if both parent dogs are “pure bred”! Their offspring are STILL MUTTS!!!

Don’t know how you can ruin a breed. Mate pure bred to pure bred, you still get pure bred. And if the breeder is good, the pure bred won’t have health issues. We have a pure bred golden retriever from a good breeder. They aren’t cheap, but like standard poodles, not all that hard to find. Sure I meet a lot of goldendoodles. Nice dogs. But honestly neither a golden nor a poodle. To each his own.

Thank you, Emily and Diane! The stencil shown is quite attractive, but doing so to a DP screen door could dangerously impair the driver’s field of vision. Ember has beautiful posture, Steven! 🙂 Happy new year and safe travels!
