In an age when RV manufacturing focuses so much of its hype touting the biggest RVs with the greatest bling, this little fifth wheel from Grand Design stands apart.
At just under 27 feet, the 2026 Reflection 22RK has everything a couple needs to travel comfortably, and it will easily fit into most public campgrounds, including those of national parks without looking like a beached whale.
Oh, there’s no balcony, and only one small slide to worry about getting stuck, and only one bathroom—which for most RVers would probably do just fine. There’s no washer-dryer or even washer-dryer prep.
In the video at the bottom of this article, Josh the RV Nerd, who is on the payroll of Bish’s RV and so will never say anything too bad about an RV, takes you on a tour. But, as knowledgeable RV reviewers go, Josh is among the very best. He knows what he talks about, and his YouTube videos are hugely popular. It helps that Josh is a nice guy and always entertaining.
Below is a transcription of what Josh covers in the video at the bottom of this article, but you really should watch it, where he leads you through the RV and explains what’s what.
FROM THE VIDEO:
Reflection 100 Series Overview
Grand Design builds Reflections in three tiers: 100 for affordability, 150 for mobility, and (full) Reflection for livability. The 22RK is the entry series, but it still carries upgrades like:
-
Goodyear tires and MORryde suspension
-
ABS with electronic anti-sway
-
Zero-to-100° weather package
-
One-touch auto-leveling
Why the Reflection 22RK stands out
Compact Size
At roughly 27–28 feet, this RV fits tighter sites and is ideal for many state and national parks.
Smart Floor Plan
Its driver’s side hallway layout allows full interior access even with the slide closed—bedroom, bath, kitchen, and dining all stay usable.
Interior highlights
Entry and Living Area
A wide 30-inch door opens to a clutter-free entry with a shoe garage. Wall-hugger theater seats have USB ports and cup holders. The U-dinette converts to an adult sleeper; swapping to folding table legs solves the double pedestal issue.
Kitchen
Modeled after the Imagine 23LDE, the rear kitchen has ample counter space, solid storage, and reduced bounce. A 15,000 BTU A/C comes standard with prep for a second. The TV sits slightly high, easily fixed with a tilt mount.
Road Mode Access
Even with slides in, users can reach the bedroom, bath, fridge, sink, and dinette. Only the oven and microwave are blocked.
Bathroom and Bedroom
The bath includes a porcelain toilet, ventless floor heat, and decent storage. The queen bedroom features radius work on the cabinets (no sharp corners), outlets with USB, and a true 60×80 mattress. No washer/dryer prep. Dresser drawers and a tall cabinet provide hanging space.
Exterior and chassis
Expect a future nose cap update. It includes an enclosed docking center, two gray tanks, and a 3,000 lb. rear receiver with chain hooks.
Running Gear and Power
Features Goodyear Endurance tires, MORryde CRE 3000 suspension, ABS, and auto-leveling. Solar-ready with 60A controller (supports 720W), 200W standard, lithium-compatible converter, and a 60,000 BTU on-demand water heater.

The 22RK, Josh concludes, blends compact size with real upgrades. For buyers seeking a smaller, value-packed fifth wheel, it’s a strong contender. The MSRP is $62,852.
