A sweet roadside stop for RVers will take you back to your lunchbox days

Roadside attractions. Curiosity shops. Tourist traps. Whatever you call them, these unique places can end up being everything from quirky to interesting to downright enlightening. As you RV around the country, it’s always a good idea to stop frequently to stretch your legs and this quick RV stop at Little Debbie® Park is one you shouldn’t miss!

Little Debbie Park

If you’re familiar with the iconic Nutty Buddy, Oatmeal Crème Pies, Zebra Cake Rolls, or Cosmic Brownies, you’ll enjoy this quirky park. Located just twenty minutes west of Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Little Debbie Park will gently transport you back to your elementary school’s lunch box days.

Where to park

The Little Debbie Park’s parking lot will not accommodate large RVs. However, your Class B, C, or truck camper RV will fit in the park’s regular vehicle spaces. Larger rigs may find parking in The Commons event center parking lot next door. Call ahead first (423-396-3135) to ensure that the venue is not booked for a large gathering. No overnight parking is permitted in either lot.

Park features

Donated by McKee Foods (creator of the Little Debbie brand) in partnership with the city of Collegedale, Little Debbie Park opened in July 2023. Ten beautiful acres in Collegedale, Tennessee, include something for every child and adult, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. This truly is an all-inclusive park! Definitely a quick RV stop you shouldn’t miss.

A paved walking path will take visitors past covered bench swings, climbing apparatus, sliding hill, pavilion, picnic benches, and much more. As you meander through the park, you can also read about the fascinating history of the McKee family, and their quest to make yummy and affordable snacks for children and adults everywhere.

Best part

By far the very best part of Little Debbie Park is the life-size treat replicas. Park visitors can relax on an Oatmeal Crème Pie, climb a Cosmic Brownie, or take a selfie beside a six-foot Christmas Tree Cake.

Bakery and gift shop

After visiting Little Debbie Park you’ll undoubtedly be ready to treat your taste buds to your favorite Little Debbie snack. The McKee Bakery is only a mile from the park and, in addition to snacks, you can purchase Little Debbie memorabilia, too.

Where to stay

You can easily fall in love with this beautiful part of the country. If you want to stay in the area and explore, you’ll find more than 50 RV parks eager for your business.

If you choose to hop back on the road and continue your RV journey, I think you’ll agree that Little Debbie Park was a quick RV stop you shouldn’t miss!

Collegedale, TN is east of Chattanooga, not west of Chattanooga.

Thank you, Gail! You were at Little Debbie Park?!? We live 20 minutes from there. 🙁 Wish I’d known you were nearby, I’d have offered you accommodations for you, hubby (continued prayers for his recovery), and RV at our RV barn. Please let us know if you ever return and we’ll unroll the welcome carpet. 🙂 Safe travels! 🙂

Thanks, Neal. We visited last spring, but if we’re in the area again, maybe we can meet. Stay safe and warm!
