In the video above we join the “Honey Badger” [called that because he “gives it to you straight and transparent about the RV business”] from HBRV Lifestyle for a tour of the 2024 Forest River Georgetown Series 5 GT5 31L5 Class A motorhome.
Walking inside, this Class A looks huge! That is because there is a HUGE slide room that contains the living area sofa and the dinette. It really opens up the space, but I do worry about maintenance on a slide room that large. It does appear that you can use all areas of the RV with the slide in.
Heated massage recliner chairs are a nice feature in the living area.
Overall, the kitchen is great with PLENTY of solid surface counter space to prep even large meals. As a foodie who uses my RV kitchen a lot, I especially LOVE the HUGE double-door 18-cubic-foot electric/propane refrigerator and freezer. Yes, yes, yes!
Our host is NOT a fan of double sinks in the kitchen, but I will wholeheartedly disagree with that. Put me in the “big fan” column and this motorhome has them (although I do have a gripe about them, see below). There’s also a full-sized convection microwave, a regular oven, a built-in pull-out wooden cutting board, a large pantry, and a 3-burner cooktop.
I always like the mid-split bath floor plan as I just find the most practical.
The bedroom features a king-sized walk-around bed. Of course, the dining area provides more sleeping space, and there is an electric drop-down bunk over the cab.

What’s not to like?
Overall I liked this motorhome a lot. But it’s strange. While it had some luxury components like the heated massage chairs and Furrion fireplace, it lacked others. For instance, I was surprised the cabinets and drawers did not seem to have soft close features, and that the TV was just a cheap brand.
I have to say, and sometimes it is difficult to know for sure in a video like this, that some of the drawers and cabinets seemed on the flimsy side. I would want to check out construction quality in person. Of course, that is true of any RV. I have been fooled in the other direction, too, when it looked great in the video and not so much in person.
While I do like the fact that there are two sinks, I do not like how small they are. This is not necessary, especially since the motorhome comes with sink covers that make more counter space. They could even keep the same overall area and do what Komfort did in my older travel trailer. There are two sinks, but one is larger than the other. This means when you need it you have a sink large enough to wash pots and pans, and a smaller sink for when you don’t. It’s a smart solution that I don’t often see used.

I liked a lot about this MH. But just the name Forest River gives me goosebumps. Nuff said.
Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 Seems a very nice RV when parked. I share your interest, if not concern, in the full-wall (?) slide. What is the manufacturer and type? The cargo capacity of 4,000 pounds seems small with an 82 gallon fresh water tank. Lots of bells and whistles, but the drawers make me wonder about the substance. Thanks again and safe travels, Cheri! 🙂
Regardless of the videographer’s preference for a propane-electric fridge, I will never have another one. With my solar panels, lithium batteries, and engine alternator providing constant 12v power, I never have to turn off my fridge, even when refueling, going through a tunnel, or riding a ferry. Because of that, my ice cream never turns to a milk shake like it did with both of my previous two-way fridges!
And having to be plugged into shore power or run the generator to use the theater seats is just about the dumbest thing I have seen in an RV yet. But I would bet you could just turn on the inverter to use them, although the video didn’t say that. Still a stupid design!
