New-for-2026 Brinkley Model Z 3600 fifth wheel: Room to stretch out

The new 2026 Brinkley Model Z 3600 is designed for couples who travel long-term or boondock and still want a residential-like interior feel.

This familiar floor plan has been stretched just enough to allow a bit more space. And that little extra space makes a big difference.

Entry

I was so excited by my first glance inside this RV. There’s a coat closet right by the Z 3600’s entry door. (Why have so many manufacturers given up on that closet? Surely not everyone travels in the tropics!) What’s more, this closet will easily contain several jackets or a couple of heavier coats. Plus, there are two generous enclosed storage cupboards above the closet where RVers can put baskets for helmets, hats, and gloves.

Living and dining room highlights

My first thought at seeing the spacious living area was that the seating coverings don’t match. I guess it’s not a huge deal, but it strikes me as odd.

Moving on, the sofa extends a full 72”, and there’s still space for two end tables with charging capabilities and covered storage. I really like that! The theater seats offer heat, which is nice, but I’d prefer to have cup holders and a fold-away armrest. According to the video below, Brinkley offers add-on beverage holders, but why not just fit them in to begin with? Of course, you can place your drink on the ottoman, so there’s that.

The televator may be a wow factor for some, but I’d worry about a malfunction on “game day.” That would spell disaster (for us, anyway). I like the fireplace. The ambiance may be lacking, but the heat is often just enough to blunt an early morning chill.

The dining layout includes a sliding desk/dining surface that doubles as a work zone. I really like the versatility, and it seems easy to convert and reconvert, as well. For remote RVer workers, this setup seems ideal. The integrated silverware drawer is a plus. (I’d probably use it for office supplies instead.)

Kitchen features

The Brinkley Model Z 3600 has a very nice kitchen. I appreciate all the counter/prep space, 16 cu. ft. refrigerator, and 30″ residential microwave. The three-burner range/oven would be plenty of cook space for us. And the drawers! Can we talk about the drawers? So. Many. Drawers. Yes, they feature soft-close and have dovetail construction, but I really like the number of drawers.

The adjustable (even removable) pantry shelving is smart! There’s also built-in power for small appliances. That’s where our toaster could live, full-time, to keep crumbs corralled.

Bedroom

Brinkley enlarged the bedroom slide so you can fit a true king bed and still walk around both sides. Plus, you get two bedstands with storage. (Bedside tables are the first thing we look for because my husband uses a CPAP machine.)

The Z 3600 has ample storage space, both in the dresser and the closet. You’ll also appreciate that you have access to the bed when slides are retracted. I like how Brinkley thoughtfully places closet lighting, so you won’t be fumbling around searching for shoes and other closet items.

Bathroom highlights

The Z 3600 bathroom is much larger than Brinkley’s smaller Z models. The double-vanity layout comes with one sink cover, so you have more vanity surface when you need it. The shower size and placement make the bathroom comfortable, not just functional. I appreciate the integrated shelving for shampoo and body wash, and my husband would like the high ceiling over the shower, too.

Additional indoor spaces

Storage and utility are emphasized throughout Brinkley’s Z 3600. There’s washer/dryer prep, integrated pet bowls, and double pull-out trash bins. All are very thoughtful additions.

Don’t like white and gold interior. Table looks uncomfortable along with ottoman that has no back. Chairs ugly and not comfortable. Would never use recycle pail. pantry slide has low shelf- stuff could fall into garbage. Kitchen faucet too high. Bath sinks very narrow. Bed in a slide is too cramped and night stands too low allowing bedding to cover them. Don’t need/want walk in closet. Black fixtures in bath and bedroom look cold and ugly.

Refrigerator on slide out??

Actually, most manufacturers put refrigerators in slides these days. There’s no plumbing or even romex wire involved. These 12v refrigerators are actually well suited to a variety of mounting conditions.

In a trailer as large as this, using more than one upholstery material definitely gives it more of a homelike look. I understand the economies of scale, but it would be nice if Brinkley offered some color choices like, say Airstream does. As long as dealers didn’t refuse to stock anything other than brown!
