The 2027 inTech Sol Dusk— A unique, nicely done, compact trailer

The 2027 inTech Sol Dusk puts a surprising amount of living space into a trailer only 20’8″ long, including the tongue. With every option, it weighs about 4,000 pounds, while less-equipped versions can fall closer to 3,600 pounds. Its warm, new finishes and new flexible bed layout, not to mention the available outdoor kitchen, make it a strong fit for campers who want easy towing without giving up daily comfort.

We get a tour of this unusual trailer from PJ at Princess Craft in the video at the end of this post.

The Sol Dusk feels larger than its dimensions suggest because of its curved front and panoramic windshield. Windows on both sides of the front dinette add daylight, while blackout shades can close off the view when privacy or sleep calls.

The U-shaped dinette includes an all-wood table and can become an extra sleeping space. Open cubbies, overhead cabinets, and a new access door to the storage beneath the dinette help keep smaller gear within reach. Amber accent lighting replaces the former blue interior lighting for a softer look.

New residential-style seat foam is designed to resist the worn-in dips that can develop with regular use.

The compact galley avoids undersized appliances. It includes an 8-cubic-foot refrigerator with a roomy freezer, a three-burner stove, a microwave convection oven, and a large farmhouse-style sink.

Thinscape solid-surface countertops and two heavy sink covers create extra prep space when the sink is not needed. Solid wood cabinetry, dovetail drawers, flexible plumbing connections, and generous storage below the counter add practical durability.

The marine-grade woven floor is made for camping traffic, meaning mud, sand, pet hair, and wet shoes can be wiped up easily.

Twin beds that become a king

At night, the rear twin beds can remain separate for an easy center walkway. However, a button-operated slide extends the bed base to form a king bed. The side cushions fill the middle, so there is no complicated manual conversion. This option was not available when I visited the inTech factory about a year-and-a-half ago, and, to me, it’s a huge improvement.

The sleeping area also includes reading lights with indirect and direct illumination, USB-C ports, nearby 110-volt outlets, side windows, a rear angled window with a pleated shade, and a swivel smart TV viewable from the bed or dinette.

A central control area near the kitchen holds the tank monitor, lighting switches, water pump, tank, and line heater controls, Jensen Bluetooth stereo, and Suburban on-demand water-heater controls. The tanks hold 45 gallons of fresh water, 36 gallons of gray water, and 9 gallons of black water.

A new push-button battery disconnect replaces the bulky disconnect switch. Solar options include a 200-watt panel, while the off-grid package adds 300 watts of solar, a 3,000-watt inverter, and a 460-amp-hour battery.

The wet bath has 6’2″ inches of headroom, a porcelain toilet, an adjustable shower head, a roof fan, and a new corner sink. Its sealed door removes the need for a shower curtain.

Outdoor kitchen and rugged exterior

The available slide-out outdoor kitchen is designed to set up quickly, with its hoses already in place. Its sink is about 8 inches deep, the built-in cooler can also work as a freezer, and the prep surface folds out. Water and gas hoses are stored with the kitchen and connect directly to exterior quick-connect ports.

The Sol Dusk also includes heavy-duty off-road tires, an electric tongue jack, solid folding steps, pass-through storage, a crank-down spare tire, Starlink pre-wiring, and an available rear hitch mount rated for 175 pounds. Integrated propane tanks preserve the trailer’s clean front profile.

Its full-cage aluminum frame is welded through the chassis, walls, and ceiling structure. A protective windshield cover comes with every Sol Dusk.

What needs improving?

I absolutely LOVE inTech’s quality and style, and I have never heard anything bad about them from any inTech owner I have spoken with over the years. There have been many, as I was considering one of its trailers and sought them out whenever I saw one in my travels. I even traveled to Indiana to tour the factory. The care and quality put into every rig were impressive.

However, my problem with any of the trailers in the Sol or even Aucta lines was a lack of interior storage and closets. Most models have zero hanging closets and limited kitchen storage. InTech’s O-V-R line does a far better job with this and is still on the consideration list, but this issue ended up crossing the Sols and Auctas off my personal consideration list. Also, the 9-gallon blackwater tank on this model is a tad small.

MSRP for the Sol Dusk starts at $52,500. Learn more about the inTech Sol Dusk.
