Love’s Travel Stops opens new Texas location with RV hookups

RV travelers rolling through the Texas Panhandle now have a new stop to add to their route. Love’s Travel Stops has opened a full-service location in Tulia, Texas, bringing more options for fueling, dining, and overnight rest to the busy corridor along Interstate 27. This new Love’s Travel Stop with RV hookups gives RVers a convenient place to park, plug in, and refresh while traveling between Amarillo and Lubbock.

The store sits at 2851 W TX-86, right off Exit 74, where Highway 86 meets I-27. It fills in the stretch between Love’s existing locations, giving RVers another convenient place to pull in for the night or take a break on a long drive.

Tulia Love’s Travel Stop with RV hookups easy in and out

For RVers, the Tulia Love’s was designed with comfort and convenience in mind. The store offers four RV-specific parking spaces and four RV hookups, making it easy for travelers to park, plug in, and relax.

Showers are available inside, and a fenced dog park offers space for pets to stretch their legs and burn off some energy before the next leg of the trip. Self-checkout stations add to the convenience, helping families and solo travelers get back on the road quickly.

The store itself covers more than 12,000 square feet, giving travelers plenty of room to browse, pick up supplies, or simply walk around after spending hours behind the wheel.

The Love’s Fresh Kitchen inside prepares sandwiches, salads, and fresh fruit daily, while an on-site McDonald’s offers familiar meals on the go. Whether you’re in the mood for a healthier option or a quick burger, both choices are under the same roof.

Professional drivers also gain from the expansion, with 59 new truck parking spaces, six diesel bays, and a CAT Scale. The combination of services means RVers towing trailers or driving larger Class A rigs can find the same convenience and support that long-haul truckers rely on.

With its mix of RV hookups, dog park, fresh food options, and community-minded approach, the new Tulia Love’s shows how the company is expanding with both truckers and RVers in mind. For those traveling I-27 through the Texas Panhandle, it’s worth penciling into the trip plan.

Russ and Tiña De Maris
Russ and Tiña went from childhood tent camping to RVing in the 1980s when the ground got too hard. They've been tutored in the ways of RVing (and RV repair) by a series of rigs, from truck campers, to a fifth-wheel, and several travel trailers. In addition to writing scores of articles on RVing topics, they've also taught college classes for folks new to RVing. They authored the book, RV Boondocking Basics.

Thank you for the news, Russ and Tina! It isn’t many spots, but it helps. Very nice to get full hookups to leisurely empty, or fill (by doing laundry?) and empty tanks. Have a great day and safe travels!

No way will I ever stay at a Loves overnight again.
$60 for a back-in spot just to sit in diesel fumes, with noisy semi trucks coming and going all night long, Absolutely not!
