Just wanted to say i really enjoy these articles and the research. Many are filed under “Vacation” ideas. So thanks.
Much the same at Coshocton, OH. The Monticello III canal boat ride, Roscoe Village, Amish farm tours and rides. DW and I spent a day doing those things and really enjoyed our time in that area. 👍
Sorry your comment(s) got held, Mikal. We’re in the process of switching to a new commenting system which shouldn’t have so many glitches in the filters, etc. Have a good evening/night. 😀 –Diane
Thank you, Gail, for the information about Canal Fulton. I heard of it when I briefly lived in Massilon several years ago. I never made it there though. Perhaps one day. The campgrounds are far flung and not especially numerous in that area. So far, none have fit our travel plans. Have a great week and safe travels!
Greetings from Canal Fulton!
The little village does have a quaint downtown with some neat shops and wonderful eateries. Grab a drink at the Barrel Room or Doan Miller Tavern and get it a special to go cup and you can wander around town with cocktail in hand. Breakfast at Sisters Century is a treat and great meals can be had at the Cast Iron or Canal Grille. Also, you are a few minutes away from a Costco and all the other stores that come with it.
The Football Hall of Fame is part of a Village now with Top Golf Suites, breweries, shopping and dining options. If you decide to make the short trip to downtown Canton, the immediate vicinity of the centennial plaza is fun.
