Ohio Turnpike RV parking with electricity for $20

By Cheri Sicard
Do you know about Ohio Turnpike RV parking? It’s a heck of a deal. In the video below, Izzy and MJ from Endless RVing take us along to the Portage Rest Stop, one of many on the Ohio Turnpike that offers overnight RV parking with electric hookups for just $20!

I have used these convenient parking spots on many occasions. No, it’s not a full campground. But you do get a large, level spot close to the truck stop with all its amenities. That means restaurants, fuel, and showers.

There is also a dump station and potable water, although when Izzy and MJ visited, it was off due to the freezing temperatures.

Yes, you will get some road noise, but the parking is separate from the trucks, so it’s not that bad.

The Ohio Turnpike rest stops are what I had hoped from the Love’s RV stops, which are usually twice the price or more. They provide a convenient overnight stop with electric and dump station access at a very affordable rate.

At $20 a night, I never think twice. At $50 a night for the same thing at Love’s, personally, I’ll pass.

That $20 a night isn’t bad, it’s the Almost $90 to travel the trunpike in your motorhome that hurts.

They are all back ins, which means disconnecting the car for the night and connecting in the morning. This is not a big deal for us, but it is inconvenient so we have not used it.

Actually, there are two of these RV overnight spots along the turnpike. One does, in fact, have pull throughs.
