Today’s RV review is of the 2026 Forest River Arctic Wolf 3250SUITE fifth wheel. I’ve written before that every fifth wheel maker makes this floor plan because it just makes sense to do so. So that also gives you an opportunity to use this as a basis for comparison. But first, a word of caution.
When I first saw this, my mind went to Northwood Manufacturing, one of the highest quality brands out there. Northwood is a company in the Pacific Northwest that goes so far as to build its own frames and really does a great job with its products. The products from Northwood Manufacturing are the Arctic Fox brand.
Arctic Wolf, on the other hand, is a brand from Forest River and is closer to the entry-level price point.
Funny thing—Forest River sued inTech a while back because their “Terra” line of high-quality travel trailers was thought to be confusing with Forest River’s East to West Terra Oasis line. I’m surprised there hasn’t been some court time over these names (Arctic Wolf and Arctic Fox). Maybe it’s also just my feeble brain that has issues.
Start at the road with the Forest River Arctic Wolf 3250SUITE
I’ve been critical in the past of trailers with off-brand tires and simple leaf spring suspensions, but I don’t tend to remember that there are some folks who literally take the trailer from the dealership to a place where it’ll be there seasonally. If that’s you, the low-end suspension and off-brand tires are no biggie.
But if you do plan to tow a lot, I would say this is a big downside. How’s that?
What you will like is that there is only one connection point for the sewer system, which is nice.
Note that the slide rooms on this are cable-operated and are the BAL® Accu-Slide™. It is recommended not to occupy the slides with this system. BAL® does make the Exact-Slide®, which is rated to be occupied.
The underbelly and front pass-through storage compartments are heated, and all the hookups for water and power are inside the front pass-through, which is an upgrade from previous Arctic Wolf offerings.
What’s inside the Forest River Arctic Wolf 3250SUITE
If this is going to be used on a seasonal site, whoever’s camping with you is probably going to be a proverbial happy camper. There are a lot of nice details inside this rig.
A really good kitchen
In particular, the kitchen in this fifth wheel is exceptional. There’s a big 16-cubic-foot 12-volt double-door refrigerator next to a three-burner stove with a nice, large oven. The microwave, too, is very large.
There’s an island where you’ll find a multifunction sink that includes a glass washer and a cutting board.
Someone was really thinking in the storage department, as there are drawers aplenty, including a drawer for the garbage can, which is included. There is also absolutely no shortage of storage with a pantry and a large storage area behind the wall that holds the TV and electric fireplace.
In addition, the utensil drawer is incorporated into the dining table. This is a really well-done kitchen.
More details in the Forest River Arctic Wolf 3250SUITE
Other than the kitchen, the rest of the main deck is pretty typical of this floor plan, although Arctic Wolf has some really big windows. There’s a couch at the back of the living space that folds into a bed, and the seat that’s directly opposite the TV is a recliner but also can be a couch.
The dining table features two free-standing seats, and there’s an ottoman that is free-standing as additional seating for the dining table. In terms of interior design, this is as good as any of these floor plans that I’ve seen.
Upstairs in the Forest River Arctic Wolf 3250SUITE
The upper deck is also well-designed. The bathroom, in particular, features a cabinet that you’d think would just lead you to shelves. However, there are actually hidden drawers inside the cabinet, so the space is supremely useful.
I also like that they put a high-performance vent fan in the bathroom because, you know, Taco Tuesday.
The bedroom features a 72” x 80” bed in a slide. They’ve done a first-rate job of providing bedside storage with little cubbies plus nightstand tables.
I think the storage in the nose cap might be polarizing, as there’s a windshield up here. But it actually makes the space rather nice.
There is hanging storage and plenty of drawers, and also a cabinet that can either enclose a washer-dryer or just be more storage.
Some final thoughts
I wonder if the folks at Arctic Wolf miss the 1950s? Looking at the website for this trailer, there were all these wacky names for stuff like the SuperStor front pass-through storage compartment, the TuffBend skirting and the Niagara-sized fresh water tank. This reminds me of all the funny things car companies named stuff in the ‘50s. Turbo HydraMatic, indeed.
There are also some signs of close attention to detail, including a motion-activated light by the steps inside and the fact that the fuse box is right at the entry door and accessible with the slides in. I also like that there are no furnace ducts in the floor. And there are those pull-out drawers in the bathroom, which is a really nice touch. I also like the electric fireplace in the upstairs bedroom. Nice.
I could see this trailer working well for someone in a seasonal site or someone who does a smaller amount of towing. Honestly, if you’re going to do a lot of towing and the price and design of this trailer appeal to you, I would make my first stop at a place that upgrades suspensions and tires, as this simple leaf spring suspension is exactly what you’d want if rattling your trailer to death is your objective.
I’m finding that more and more companies that had been premium brands are starting to offer decontented models, but brands like this that had been more entry-level have stepped up their game.
There’s a lot going for this fifth wheel, especially for the money. There really aren’t a lot of things that make it feel particularly affordable inside, and that’s where it’s going to matter to a lot of buyers.
My thanks to Josh from Bish’s RV for the video and photos in this article.

Seems like a lot of money for a Arctic Wolf 5th wheel.
Thank you for the review, Tony! Although we are on RV #2 and have been traveling for 9 years, your reviews continue to be educational and instructive in terms of how to critically evaluate an RV. You cover so many different RVs that I routinely gain new insight into manufacturers and product lines. They also are entertaining, so thank you for that, too! Have a great week and safe travels!
I haven’t seen a “priced right camper” since about 2018
Question: what does it mean to “not occupy” the slides with this slide system? Does that mean don’t sit on the chairs in the slide out? Because that seems, kinda, impossible. Maybe I’m missing something?
I had tried to google my question before posting the above, but didn’t get useful results. I reworded my query and got results that you’re not supposed to occupy the slide WHILE OPERATING THE SLIDE. That had never occurred to me. But I’ve never had anyone sit on the couch while operating the slide, so the concern just wasn’t on my radar. Hope this answer helps anyone else with the same question!
