RV sales statistics – a vanishing story

By Russ De Maris

Last Sunday we published a story, comparing wholesale shipment of RVs to the numbers of RVs registered. It’s a vanishing story – we’ve pulled it. The RVIA dropped us a line to question some of our information, and a review of our number crunching revealed we’d made some serious mistakes.

We’ll revisit the matter come next Sunday. In the meantime, our apologies to all concerned.

Russ and Tiña went from childhood tent camping to RVing in the 1980s when the ground got too hard. They've been tutored in the ways of RVing (and RV repair) by a series of rigs, from truck campers, to a fifth-wheel, and several travel trailers. In addition to writing scores of articles on RVing topics, they've also taught college classes for folks new to RVing. They authored the book, RV Boondocking Basics.

This is the first time EVER that we’re sharing this list with you. Yep, that’s right, this is our personal list that we use every day to recommend products to YOU. These are the products we actually use, talk about, recommend, and keep in our own rigs. And no, none of them are sponsored or paid for or anything like that. We’ve been compiling this list for years! Not to toot our own horn, but this is impressive!
