The 2026 Cedar Creek 383FB—luxurious, large and wowie!

If you want a towable RV that looks and lives more like a small house than a camper, the Forest River 2026 Cedar Creek 383FB was built for you.

This fifth wheel RV is big in size and big in features. It’s definitely large and luxurious. Let’s take a look.

Exterior build highlights

Here is a list of exterior highlights:

  • 101″ wide-body frame
  • All-aluminum superstructure with 16″ centers (rather than wood)
  • Walk-on roof
  • Composite-slide floors (to prevent moisture intrusion)
  • 6-point hydraulic leveling system
  • Heated front storage and tank heat pads
  • Large pass-through storage
  • On-demand water heater
  • Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Extended entry handrail

Interior layout

Just a quick glance at the floor plan and you’ll immediately notice some big changes to what you’re used to seeing. You enter the 2026 Cedar Creek 383FB into a “mud room.” Coat hooks stand ready to hold your jackets, and there’s a convenient bench where you can sit to remove your shoes.

Above the coat hooks, you’ll discover overhead cupboards that can store sunscreen, a tackle box, a flashlight, a dog leash, insect repellent, hats/gloves, and more. I like that you won’t track into the main living space to retrieve these frequently used items. The “mud room” acts more like a stix-n-brix entry and provides quite a welcoming feel.

You might not notice on a personal walkthrough, but the washer/dryer is also set in this area. In a stix-n-brix home, a mud room/laundry room makes sense. However, this space is quite small to accommodate both functions in this configuration. Not to mention having to schlep dirty laundry through the RV to reach the washer/dryer, and back again to fold and put clean clothes away. My personal preference is having the laundry located in the bedroom—where the dirty clothes usually end up anyway.

Kitchen

Moving into the RV, opposing slides make the kitchen and living area feel really spacious. I like that the kitchen has a combination microwave/convection/air fryer unit. There’s also a good number of drawers, which I appreciate. The residential, three-door refrigerator will hold lots of food, and the countertop space is great for meal prep.

There isn’t a visible pantry. That’s because it’s hidden behind the television. (I know. I did a double-take, too!) They undoubtedly moved the pantry because of the entry/mudroom location, but this feels just a little weird to me. As does the dishwasher. (Am I really camping if I’m using a dishwasher? Asking for a friend.)

The coffee bar/wine bar/drink station is nice, but I would probably use it for pantry storage since we aren’t coffee or wine drinkers.

I like the integrated silverware drawer in the dining table. It’s also nice that the table extends a bit for game nights or a hobby workspace.

Living and dining areas

The recliners and sofa are positioned well for conversation or television viewing. I like that the dining bench can be repositioned wherever you like. Since we only require two chairs at the dining table, I’d move the bench in front of the sofa. Then the bench could serve as storage for lap blankets and also a footrest for the sofa.

Bedroom

The RV king mattress doesn’t allow space for bedside tables, but there are shelves above the windows for books or eyeglasses. I’m not sure a CPAP will fit on the shelf, however.

There is plenty of drawer and cupboard space for clothes in this RV bedroom, as well as extra storage under the bed.

There are charging ports conveniently located in the bedroom (and throughout the fifth wheel).

Bathroom

Beyond the bedroom is the front bathroom. (That’s the FB in the 2026 Cedar Creek 383FB name.) You’ll discover plenty of space here. There is a large double sink with lots of storage plus two medicine cabinets. The upgraded shower features four shower heads (a bit much for me, but this RV is luxurious). You’ll find generous space around the commode, too.

Closet

Remember the large and luxurious part? This closet is both! Beyond the bathroom is the walk-in closet. There are nine generous drawers, two large pull-out wire storage baskets, and two large areas for hanging clothes. The closet definitely is a luxurious space.

While I enjoy the expansive feel, I think this may have been a better location for the washer and dryer units.

Floors vents? Why? Sorry, non-starter for me

First of all the pantry behind the TV is a terrible idea. So people are watching TV and dinner is being prepared and you are in and out of the pantry. Not a fun way to watch a program. I also do not like the ottoman. They are so uncomfortable and heavy to move. And no cup holders in the recliners.

Guests going through the bedroom to use the bathroom? Big no-no

And, you can’t get to closets if someone is using the bathroom. Show-stopper.
