What is new for 2026?
For 2026, the Durango 321RKT gets several clear upgrades:
- New front cap shape and graphics that give it a clean, modern look
- A whole new suspension setup that is not MORryde or Equa-Flex
- A reworked bathroom with a different shower base and more storage
- An outdoor entertainment center with a TV where the pellet smoker used to be
These changes keep the floor plan familiar but make the coach look sharper and feel more dialed-in for day-to-day use.
Exterior
Up front, the Durango has a large storage compartment with plenty of room for bulky gear. Inside that space sits the inverter and tidy wiring, with easy access for service. On the door side, the battery compartment holds the house batteries, the solar controller, and the battery disconnect. The opposite side houses the main utility bay with water connections, valves, and access to the big pass-through basement.
The front bedroom slide uses a Schwintek mechanism, while the other slides are rack-and-pinion. The coach rides on a new, beefy suspension that looks much more robust than past options, with a spare tire and sewer caddy mounted underneath. A tankless water heater sits on the utility side, and the tank pull handles are close to one of the dump points, which makes setup and tear-down easier.
The Durango uses a 4-point automatic leveling system, with the control panel located in an exterior compartment with a protective cover.
At the back of the 2026 KZ Durango 321RKT
At the back, the coach includes:
- Rear ladder for roof access
- Backup camera prep
- Receiver hitch rated up to 3,000 lbs. (with the usual reminder to be extra careful with towing behind a fifth wheel)
There is a small rear storage compartment that makes use of otherwise wasted space, plus a propane quick-connect nearby for hooking up a grill.
On the campsite side, the big change is the outdoor kitchen and entertainment center. Where earlier models carried a pellet grill and smoker, this one has:
- A 42-inch TV mounted under the rear of the coach
- A pull-out griddle
- A mini fridge
For anyone who likes to sit under the awning and watch football, this is a very easy setup to appreciate.
Large pass-through basement
The pass-through basement is one of the standout features of the Durango line, and this 321RKT keeps that tradition. The space is tall and wide, with:
- A Bluetooth speaker mounted inside
- An access panel that opens up the back side of the plumbing and wiring
- Enough height that an adult can crouch or even sit inside to organize gear
The main awning measures 16 feet and includes an LED light strip.
Rear kitchen highlights

Inside, the 321RKT opens into a bright rear kitchen.
The kitchen includes:
- Solid-surface countertops
- Soft-close drawers and cabinet doors
- A large convection microwave
- A four-burner cooktop with a full-size oven
- A residential refrigerator with a bottom freezer and travel lock
Sink covers store neatly in a rack under the sink, next to a built-in garbage can. The single-basin stainless-steel sink has a high-rise faucet.
Overhead storage runs across the rear wall and above the microwave, and there is more cabinet space over the refrigerator. A tire-pressure monitoring system and various remotes are tucked into one of the kitchen drawers.
An A/C unit and a ceiling fan serve the main living area, adding good airflow for cooking and hot days.
Living and dining comfort
Across from the kitchen sits a large slide with the dining area and part of the seating area. The freestanding table comes with chairs and can extend for more space, then fold back down. There is storage inside the table, handy for puzzles, games, or a laptop.
The living room uses upgraded Thomas Payne furniture. The theater seats are soft and supportive, with cup holders and storage in the middle. A love seat on the opposite side converts into a bed for guests, and overhead cabinets stretch across the slide.
The entertainment center faces the theater seats and is anchored by another 42-inch TV. Below it sits a sound bar and an electric fireplace. Storage above the TV is surprisingly deep, almost too deep to reach the back. Heat still comes through floor vents. There are multiple power outlets and an inverter control panel tucked into the cabinetry, with fuses hidden behind a small door.
A nice touch is the mix of darker, warmer cabinets in the kitchen area and lighter cabinets around the entertainment center. That contrast keeps the space from feeling heavy.
Revamped bathroom
Up the steps, the bathroom shows some of the biggest 2026 changes. The shower is a one-piece Encore unit with a skylight and a large exhaust fan. The base has an angled design and a low step-over, so it feels more like stepping into a home shower. A pull-down seat replaces the old molded seat, and the size comes in around 42 inches wide by 30 inches deep.
The toilet is a porcelain foot-flush unit, with a towel rack nearby. There is a heat vent in the floor and storage under the sink.
Counter space right around the sink is fairly tight, which the reviewers call out, but storage elsewhere makes up for it. The bathroom has two mirrored medicine cabinets, plus three soft-close drawers and a tall linen cabinet. Access from both the hall and the bedroom makes it easy to use at night without waking someone up too much.
King bedroom and storage
In the front, the Durango 321RKT comes with a king-size bed, with an option for a queen if ordered that way. Windows on the sides and front of the slide bring in light, and blackout shades help keep the room dark when needed. Small shelves sit on each side of the bed, with power outlets and USB ports, plus motion lights near the floor.
A second A/C unit is mounted in the bedroom ceiling. At the foot of the bed, KZ has added a new 8-drawer dresser. The drawers are soft-close and feel more like home furniture than RV cabinetry.
Above the dresser, the wall is prepped for a bedroom TV. A large window behind the dresser adds even more natural light.
Across the front of the coach, the wardrobe is split into two sections. One side is washer and dryer prepped, with a slatted door to help with airflow. The reviewers note that this space comes without a hanging rod, but one could be added. The other side of the closet has a slightly lowered shelf, a hanging bar that runs across, and shoe storage cubbies built in at the bottom.
Final thoughts
The 2026 KZ Durango 321RKT keeps everything people like about this rear-kitchen floor plan, then layers in smarter storage, a sharp new look, and a very fun outdoor setup. From the massive basement and new suspension to the reworked bathroom and 8-drawer bedroom dresser, it feels ready for both long trips and weekend tailgates.

Thank you, Cheri! Much to like, but I wonder how expensive it is? I hope you had a good Christmas and that you have a grand 2026. Safe travels!
Lots of quality issues. Among them: sloppy wiring, poor construction in compartment areas. Plus the usual 5th wheel problems involving bed in slideout w/ non-existent nightstands and those tiny shelves waiting to bang fingers and arms. In no way this trailer is a purchase consideration. Mr. measuring tape and toilet plunger are funny.
