Reservations for the 2026 camping season along the Blue Ridge Parkway will open at 10 a.m. EST on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Campgrounds along the Blue Ridge Parkway are popular with RVers and tent campers alike, especially during peak leaf-peeping season in early fall. Sites often fill quickly when reservations open, particularly for weekends and holiday periods, so campers planning trips during high-demand times may want to book as early as possible.
Campers can book sites online at Recreation.gov, through the park’s camping webpage, or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
The following campgrounds are scheduled to be open from Friday, May 22, 2026, through Sunday, October 25, 2026: Otter Creek, Peaks of Otter, Rocky Knob, Doughton Park, Loop A of Julian Price Park, and Mount Pisgah.
Crabtree Falls Campground and Linville Falls Campground are expected to remain closed throughout the 2026 camping season as long-term infrastructure and safety upgrades continue.
Travelers should also be aware that operating dates and campground availability can change due to weather conditions, maintenance needs, or staffing levels. Before finalizing travel plans, the National Park Service recommends checking the park’s official website for updates, alerts, and any last-minute changes that could affect access or services.
