ALABAMA OPENS NEW RV COMMUNITY
Known as the Homestead RV Community and located near Mobile, this new concept in RV living has high-speed internet, very large sites as long as 100 feet, escorted entry when you arrive, community fire pit, a welcome for kids and pets, full hookups including 20/50-amp power, planned activities, boat and RV storage, stocked fishing pond, laundry and such high-tech new features as a virtual store that delivers to your campsite. The website is coy about rates, which require dates and other details before they are revealed. Reservations also require a $100 refundable deposit. (251) 973-2484

BRITISH COLUMBIA RV PARK IS REBRANDED
New owners of a campground outside Parksville promise a new kind of RV camping under the Pathfinder brand. The 12-acre property known as a Pathfinder Camp Resort is on the Englishman River with a sandy beach and several swimming areas. At present the campground has 77 sites with full hookups, 21 with water and electric, and 62 tent sites. Amenities include a swimming pool, camp store, washrooms with hot showers, laundry facility and a playground. Improvements will include more water and sewer hookups and upgrades to 30/50-amp service. Reservations for next spring and summer will open by mid-January.

CALIFORNIA CAMPGROUND STOCKS TROUT
The latest release of trout at Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County was December 15, promising lavish catches through the holidays. While you’re there don’t miss the floating Christmas tree display at the marina. The  full-service, year-round campground at the Cachuma Lake Recreation District offers RV, cabin, yurt and tent camping plus recreational activities and nature programs for all ages. FLORIDA’S NEWEST RV SITES PROMISED
In Vero Beach, a massive new development is being planned just west of Interstate 95 for 900 single and townhomes and 308 RV sites. Details and a proposed opening date have yet to be decided. Vero Beach is on the snowbird route from the Northeast to Southeast Florida. The old downtown is known for its quaint restaurants and galleries. To the east is the pristine Atlantic beach; west of the city is a major outlet mall.

INDIANA ANNOUNCES SOUTHERN GOSPEL JUBILEE
Dates are July 15-17 for next year’s Bean Blossom Southern Gospel Jubilee at the Bill Monroe Music Park and Campground in Morgantown. The campground has 30/50-amp hookups, golf cart rentals, a playground and a camp store. Lakeside sites are available. Come to hear top Southern Gospel artists in a new lineup each day while you celebrate with camp life, festival food and family fun. MISSOURI GETS NEW JELLYSTONE PARK
Mark Twain Landing in Monroe City has new owners and a new focus. By the end of 2020 it will be a Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp Resort. It’s aimed at the family vacationer. Changes include a renovated water park, new dog park with patio sites and dog pens, upgraded Wi-Fi, golf cart rentals, a gaga ball pit, human Foosball Lazer Tag and much more. NEW JERSEY CAMPGROUND ALREADY WAIT-LISTED FOR 2022
The 2021 season is sold out at Sleepy Hollow Family Campground, Egg Harbor Township. RV travelers are invited to be wait-listed for the 2022 season. Located on 100 acres just 7 miles from the 9th Street beaches and boardwalk, the seasonal-only campground has metered electric, 151 sites, hookups including optional trailer-style hookups and planned family activities every weekend in season. OHIO CAMPGROUND CHANGES HANDS AFTER 73 YEARS
Clay’s Park Resort in North Lawrence has been in the same family for generations. Now the 305-acre property has been sold. Home of the famous Yankee Peddler Festival and music festivals that bring in massive crowds, the park has its own restaurant, a modern campground with sites to suit all types of RVs, cabins, water park and large lakes for boating, swimming and fishing. It’s not yet known what changes may be in store under the new owners. The 2021 camping season is set to run April 23 to November 7. (330) 854-6691

TENNESSEE’S NEWEST RV RESORT OPENS SOON
Pigeon Forge Landing RV Resort will open in early spring 2021 along the Little Pigeon River and with a view of Mount Le Conte. The high-end, 37-acre resort will have 129 full-hookup RV sites with concrete pads, golf cart rentals, 30/50-amp service, an illuminated river walk, onsite concierge services, gym, swimming pool, hot tub, playground, pickleball court, dog park and laundry facilities. UTAH’S NEWEST STATE PARK OPEN ALL YEAR
Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane (near St. George) is set in a stunning landscape of red sandstone and the warm blue waters of Sand Hollow Reservoir. Go boating and fishing. Explore and ride the dunes of Sand Mountain with an off-highway vehicle. Camp with full hookups in one of the three campgrounds. (435) 680-0715
