All of the holiday hubbub is finally in our rearview mirror, but just in case you missed them, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued several RV recalls in December.
Across 2025, more than 80,000 RVs were recalled for various safety defects. These ranged from propane line routing issues and faulty wiring to structural concerns such as slide-outs engaging while traveling and missing safety equipment.
Stay informed and act quickly when a recall affects your rig. It’s essential for safe and worry-free RVing.
These recalls affect a range of recreational vehicles, travel trailers, and motorhomes. Did your rig land on the list? Check and see.
Jayco Inc.
Certain 2025 Melbourne, 2026 Melbourne Prestige, and Entegra Qwest models were recalled due to incorrect weight ratings on certification labels. This could lead to unintended overloading. Owners will receive corrected labels free of charge.
Keystone RV Company
2026 Impact and Carbon models had patio railing kits missing hardware, creating a potential fall hazard. Dealers will install the missing components at no cost.
Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailers
Several 2025–2026 nüCamp TAG and TAB models were found to have incorrect cargo carrying capacity and tire information labels, which can affect safe loading. Affected units will receive replacement labels.
Tiffin Motorhomes
Certain 2026 Open Trail motorhomes had incorrect cargo weight information on their OCCC labels. Corrected labels are being mailed to owners.
How serious are these recalls?
While some of the issues may not seem dramatic, they can result in injuries, greater crash risk, or mechanical failures if left unaddressed. Labeling errors, in particular, can lead owners to unintentionally overload a vehicle beyond safe limits.
