If you’ve decided to downsize from your current RV but still want all of your creature comforts in a drivable rig, the 2026 Grand Design Lineage Series F Super Class C is worth a look.
Grand Design’s Lineage Series F uses the beefy Ford F-600 4×4 chassis and boasts a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine. The 330 horsepower will get you almost anywhere you choose to go, but don’t let that power fool you. The interior of this drivable RV provides all of the comforts of home, enabling you to downsize, adventure, and still enjoy the ride.
Before going inside, here are the rest of the specs:
- GAWR Front: 7,500 lbs.
- GAWR Rear: 15,500 lbs.
- GVWR: 22,000 lbs.
- Length: 33’9″
- Height: 12’3″
Living room highlights
Entering the Lineage Series F, the first thing I noticed was the dark ceiling. Well, not “dark” exactly, but not the bright white of most RVs, which I think might help make the space feel larger. What do you think?

This RV’s living area felt more spacious than I anticipated, probably due to the generous slide-out. Two power recliners face one of the three TVs in this particular unit (which, to me, is two too many). However, the setup is comfortable and home-like.
Upper cabinets line the top of the slide, providing good storage for craft supplies, games, hobby necessities, and more. The cabinets come with travel-ready closures, so no need to bungee-tie doors/drawers on travel days.

The dual-pane acrylic windows feature a streamlined design, free from bulky valances or curtains that might obstruct your view or airflow. The windows allow lots of natural light into the rig while also dampening outside road noise.
Kitchen features
The kitchen runs along a single wall, while the dinette is situated across from it on the other side of the rig. Two drawers tucked under the dinette seats are exceptionally long and will hold any additional camping items you care to pack along.

The single stainless sink is a good size, and there’s an adequate number of cupboards and drawers to hold daily-use items. Next to the sink storage cabinet is a three-burner cooktop with an oven below. (I would be happy without the oven, since there’s a convection/microwave. But that’s just me.)

A three-door 12V Furrion refrigerator/freezer is next in line, followed by the pantry. I wish the pantry featured pull-out drawers because they are deep. Nevertheless, the pantry should hold a good amount of dry/canned goods. Once again, cabinets and drawers feature travel-ready pulls.
Laundry
Grand Design’s Lineage Series F includes an optional washer/dryer prep closet. I was surprised at this feature and pleased that the laundry didn’t encroach on the actual bedroom space. If you choose not to install laundry appliances, the space can be used for more storage with adjustable shelves and motion-activated lighting.
Bedroom
The bedroom sits within the slide-out. The longer slide means a bit more space at the end of the bed, but it may make getting into the bed a bit tricky. This RV does not provide bedside tables, which is a negative for me. Grand Design did add a cabinet drawer topper that perhaps serves as a place for a CPAP machine, but accessing the items stored in that drawer would be a hassle. It also complicates getting in and out of bed.
The Series F offers two nicely sized wardrobes and a couple of drawers in the bedroom design. A TV is mounted on the wall, though I wouldn’t need a TV here.
Bathroom highlights
The bathroom is small, but adequate. I like that there’s a tankless water heater for on-demand hot water, and I was pleasantly surprised by the durable, steel-braided water lines. The towel racks are nice, but are not ideally positioned because they are unreachable from the shower.
The shower features a built-in shampoo holder and adjustable hardware. It has great lighting, along with a skylight. I like the easy-clean solid surfaces that give the kitchen and bathroom a cohesive design.
Outdoor features
I appreciate the large awning, but could easily do without the outdoor television. The sizable exterior bays are perfect for gear, and the wide drop chassis creates a larger pass-through area for additional storage.
The 2026 Grand Design Lineage Series F can go off the beaten path, and you won’t give up any creature comforts along the way. Watch a video walkthrough below. Could it be the downsized RV for you? Tell us using the comments.
BTW, models start at $316,149.

$316,000 is NOT a downgrade for me!
Not a downsize for us! It’s 40% longer than our motorhome at a 50% higher MSRP. And I prefer a Cummins 6.7L I-6 diesel to a Ford 6.7L V-8 diesel. But I do like the F-600 chassis compared to other manufacturer’s F-550 Super Cs.
I also like the plain exterior without either swirly or wide, straight line graphics. I am not impressed by very expensive, multicolored, full-body paint. Simple is just fine!
Having the engine out front instead of in the cab makes sense when it comes time for repairs and replacements. I agree that three TV’s is two too many, and the ceiling should be a light color paint. Why are there no slide outs going up or out back?
I got to spend time with Mike Hums from Grand Design on a tour through their Lineage Series – he is a passionate individual and I think he’s doing a knock-out job with their motorized products. Unlike their towables, I perceive that their motorized rigs are indeed best in class in almost every way.
