It only works in disaster films – and then, only if you’re the hero. Ripping off anything from cars to helicopters is a staple for actors in disaster films. The hero needs to save the world, and that Jeep over there is just the ticket. Maybe a dumb crook in Oklahoma pictured himself the hero when he “traded in” one RV for another, without paying.
Rogers County investigators say Daniel Gann and a sidekick, Leanna Johnston, pulled into a storage facility, towing a trailer. Surveillance video shows them dropping off the trailer, then hitching up to another one and pulling out.
Why the dumb crook stunt?
After tracking down the pair, police asked Gann why he’d pulled the dumb crook stunt. It’s probably a first for police. The answer was, in effect, “The end of the world is coming, and I need a bigger trailer for my family.”
Maybe Gann is a believer. He and Johnston cooperated with the investigation, and returned the trailer. No swelling music soundtrack for this disaster film. Only the sound of clashing bars as Gann was booked under a larceny charge.

Ready to go RVing!!! 😍😍
How is a bigger trailer going to help if it’s the end of the world? lol!
More hiding spots. 🙂 🙂
In this disaster film I’m pretty sure it was Leanna Johnston that was in charge. Gann pays the price and she, the heroine, saves the world. Clearly Gann was the fall guy.
Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 Yes, exactly what ccg said. 🤔😯 Their explanation to the police is confusing, or maybe it is just them. 😉 Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
Now that was funny, bad crook story. Glad the trailer was returned to the family by police.
End of the World. Generally, shouldn’t the world already be in heavy chaos before acting out a movie plot?
I was hoping to see the surveillance video!
Preppers gotta prep…..
