The Escape 13′ Trailer, or E13, is built for campers who want a compact fiberglass RV that still feels capable and comfortable. It stays light, is easy to tow, and is simple to set up, yet it offers features that make weekends away or longer trips feel relaxed and cozy.
In the video at the end of this post, hosts Linda and Tim from Escape introduce the E13 as the newest member of the Escape family. They call it a mighty little trailer that packs a big punch, and it shows in the smart mix of weight, size, and features.
Exterior
The E13 keeps things tow-friendly without feeling flimsy. Key numbers help tell the story:
- 1,850 lbs. dry weight
- 250 lbs. tongue weight with front suspension
This setup makes the trailer a good match for many mid-size tow vehicles, while still feeling stable on the road and easy to handle when parking or moving around a campsite.
Up front, the E13 comes ready for camping with two 20 lb. propane tanks. That means plenty of fuel for cooking and heating on longer trips. There is also an optional storage bin at the front for those who want extra outdoor gear space without filling the inside.
The E13 rides on a 3,500 lb. torque suspension with electric brakes. This setup helps the trailer sit smoothly on the road, and the electric brakes make it easier to slow down and stop with confidence.
For power, the trailer includes a standard power connection and a removable power cord, which makes setup and storage a bit simpler. There is also a solar port, so owners can plug in a portable solar panel and keep batteries topped up while camping off-grid.
The E13 in the video shows off a rich exterior color, and it is just one of many. The trailer is available in 13 exterior colors, so owners can match their style or tow vehicle, or pick a shade they love. Color details and photos are available on the Escape 13′ product page at the Escape Trailer site.
Every E13 comes standard with a manual awning. It gives campers a shaded spot for chairs, cooking, or relaxing outside. It adds a nice outdoor living space right beside the trailer.
Interior

Inside, the E13 feels bright, clean, and surprisingly open for a 13-foot trailer. Owners can choose between two cabinet colors: maple or bright white. On top of that, there are five choices for countertops and five for flooring, so the trailer can feel warm and wood-toned or light and modern.
Seating cushions also come with choices. There are six standard cushion options, so buyers can go with neutral tones, something darker for easy cleaning, or a more colorful look. Custom upholstery is also available at extra cost for those who want something unique.
The E13 includes a compact but capable kitchen setup for camping trips:
- Two-burner cooktop
- 3-cubic-foot two-way refrigerator
For cooler weather, the trailer comes standard with a 12,000 BTU furnace, a solid amount of heat output for a 13-foot space. Thermal acrylic windows help hold warmth inside and cut down on drafts, which makes early spring or late fall camping far more comfortable.
Inside, headroom is another pleasant surprise. Tim, at 6 feet 1 inch tall, can stand up straight inside without ducking. That gives taller campers a more relaxed feel and makes the small trailer feel much bigger.
The Escape 13′ Trailer is light, compact, and built with a molded fiberglass body, which appeals to both first-time RV owners and long-time campers. It is easy to tow, simple to use, and still offers real comfort inside. On the downside, it does not leave space for a bathroom. However, there’s a Porta Potty option.
