The three-day event not only includes the popular RV Buyer’s Seminar and 10 others I present, but will feature a new Ford Towing Bootcamp developed by the Ford Motor Company with a 1-hour in-class towing seminar and a 2-hour outdoor hands-on truck and trailer towing class.
The classroom seminar will be offered for free three times on Friday and Saturday, and twice on Sunday. The outdoor hands-on seminar is $495; however, a $250 discount is available to RVtravel.com readers.

Classroom sessions will be conducted by Ford Certified and CDL Licensed instructors. Towing 101 will cover towing concepts you will need before getting behind the wheel. Ford will provide F-150 trucks and travel trailers for the outside, hands-on clinic. It will include proper hitching, making a tight right-hand turn, and the dreaded act of backing up, among other things.
This course will provide valuable information and real-world experience not only for the first-time RV buyer but also for seasoned veterans looking for additional driving and towing tips.

Thank you, Dave! 🙂 Sadly, we have plans already AND Raleigh is ~8 hours from us (~Chattanooga), so I will have to give it a miss. 🙁 Seems a wonderfully timely thing to offer. I echo Drew’s desire that this be done elsewhere, too. Seems an extremely important bit of training to impart to folks; too important to do one-and-done. Glad to see Ford step up to the plate on these issues as so many younger people towing do not know the proper way to adjust a hitch or weight problems in trailer.

I would love that price on that course…. Have a Ford and the going rate for hands on training is over $600 here in Tampa. It is time for me to finally learn now that spouse went over retirement hill & I need to be able to back him up if tired while traveling (or sick) .
Ford needs to offer this around the country! And if I could nab that discount 😉 ……
