Get a free hot dog at Love’s July 17

Is Love’s puttin’ on the dog? Nah, they’re down to earth. No caviar at these humble travel stops. But on July 17, you can get a dog—a free hot dog—at Love’s locations around the country. It’s all in honor of National Hot Dog Day. Want a free dog? There’s a hoop to jump through, so read on.

Free hot dog—a sizzling offer

National Hot Dog Day is all about enjoying summer’s staple food. Love’s Travel Stops has a sizzling offer in store. Love’s is celebrating National Hot Dog Day by partnering with Schwab Meat Co. to give customers a free hot dog or roller grill item on Wednesday, July 17, at participating locations in 42 states.

“Our customers are at the heart of what we do,” said Joe Cotton, vice president of food service for Love’s. “National Hot Dog Day is a wonderful way for us to thank our loyal patrons and introduce new customers to the quality and convenience we deliver every day.”

Customers can access the barcode for their free hot dog or roller grill item on the Love’s Connect App from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, July 17. Love’s roller grill items include Schwab’s Hot Dogs, Tornados, Roller Bites, and more. A full selection of toppings is also available.

Jump through the hoop this way

If you already have Love’s Connect App on your device, you have most of the free hot dog issue licked. You can skip the first two steps and move along.

  1. Go to your app store and search for “Love’s Connect” to download the app.
  2. Create an account by entering information, including your name and email address.
  3. Open the app and click “Deals” on the bottom of the menu.
  4. Tap the deals you want.
  5. Scan the mobile bar code at checkout to take advantage of great savings.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 How cool. Unfortunately we are not traveling right now, so unlikely to get a hotdog. But, there is one just a bit up the road. Maybe, I will. Rats! Looks as though they are not handing out free hotdogs tomorrow. Oh well, thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
