The wise man wrote, “Do not despise the day of small things.” It may not seem like much, but two new Love’s RV hookup spots have added a total of six more RV hookup sites in two states. If you’re in the neighborhood and need to “drop the hook” for the night, you may be glad you could grab one of them.
Two new Love’s RV hookup spots—far, far apart
Love’s Travel Stops is growing its network of locations ahead of the December holiday travel rush with two new travel stops which opened in Alabama and Wyoming, the company’s 19th and fifth stores in those states, respectively.
The Cullman, Alabama, travel stop, off Interstate 65 (Exit 305) at 497 County Road 222, is Love’s third location along I-65 between Birmingham and Nashville and adds 82 truck parking spaces. Nearby scenic attractions include Smith Lake and multiple historic covered bridges.
The Buffalo store is Love’s first in northern Wyoming and a strategic stop near the junction of Interstates 90 and 25. Located off I-90 (Exit 58) at 190 U.S. Hwy 16 E., this travel stop includes 64 truck parking spaces. Located just east of Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, Buffalo is along a major travel route to numerous national parks, forests, and other attractions in the Northwest.
RV hookups and eats
Both travel stops are part of Love’s growing RV network with three RV hookups each, private showers, laundry facilities an RV dump and dog park. As new Love’s, they also have space for EV chargers allocated to be able to quickly partner with local utility companies and install EV charging stations, should there be customer demand.
If eating is in your plans, then you’ll find chow close to two new Love’s RV hookup spots. At the Cullman, Alabama, Love’s you’ll find a McDonald’s and a Subway to fill the hole. Both a Love’s Fresh Kitchen and an Arby’s are available to sate your appetite at the Buffalo, Wyoming, location.

We stayed at a Love’s RV Stop in Box Elder, South Dakota. It was nice and did just what we needed on our way to Montana.
exactly…. a stop over to sleep before the next days travel. Not a destination, Geez, give the company a break, they are offering an alternative to stealth camping with some services that we all could use on the road.
Way overpriced, way too noisy, way too smelly.
On top of that, they do not offer any pull-thru spots.
Top dollar for no amenities. None for me thanks. @@
It depends on the location. I stayed at one in Al (don’t recall the city) and it was like a real campground. It had about 30 sites, some were pull thru, picnic table and fire ring, playground, basketball and pickleball courts and totally quiet. Stayed at another in KY with about 3 sites and was not quiet. It was fine for when I wanted my a/c.
Now if they would do something about their “tank traps” (AKA potholes) in their parking lots…😉
I reserved a spot at the Love’s in Cotulla, TX. They charged $43.50. On Thanksgiving, my mother passed away. I called Love’s to cancel the reservation and the folks at the location could not do it. It took 5 calls in all to several number to finally cancel the reservation and receive a whole $5.50 refund. I will never use Love’s for an overnight stay.
We’ve used them for overnight stops. Full hook ups, dog park, secure area, food, fuel. Works great for us. We’ve even stayed overnight in Loves that don’t have RV hook ups. We always asked first and have never been turned away. Great overnight stop to rest, not a vacation spot.
We used a space at a Love’s after a reservation snafoo and while not the greatest for privacy, you do have water & electric with a dump station nearby.

Love’s needs to work more on their planning. The newer one in Tonopah, NV any parking is on slope. Which means if you want to park and go inside for food you are not level. Plus, they only have one gas pump that works for RVs since the building is right on front. I was going to use the one here in Quartzsite but again, the pumps are facing the building so no way I could see to safely pull my MH into for gas so went to Arco.
