Love’s RV Stop could be coming to the land of Rockabilly. Jackson, Tennessee’s regional planning commission has given the nod to a preliminary site plan filed by the big truck stop company. The “RV Stop” is apparently an addition to the company’s travel plaza, but would increase RVer attraction.
Love’s with space for 37 RVs
If completed, the new Love’s RV Stop would be on U.S. 412 East. Built on a site of a little less than an acre, the company has plans for plenty of amenities. Included in the filing were plans for an enclosed playground, a dog park, and spots for 37 RVs. We’ve reached out to Love’s management to verify that many of these would be utility hookup sites, and we’ll update you when we hear back.

Rockabilly fan destination
Jackson is the county seat of Madison County, Tennessee. It’s 70 miles east of Memphis and is a regional center of trade for West Tennessee. Its total population was 68,205 as of the 2020 United States census.
If Love’s plans come to fruition and indeed include an RV overnight area, it could be a boon for Rockabilly fans. Downtown Jackson is the home of the Legends of Tennessee Music Museum. Drop in and you can browse memorabilia and relics that tell stories about folks with names like Carl Perkins and Sonny Boy Williamson.

One acre don’t seem like much room for all there doing.
Basically an overnight parking lot for RV’s. Probably less than 10 feet between rigs. The only amenities will be what’s in the store.
Thank you, Russ and Tina! Jackson also has the Casey Jones Home and Museum (https://www.caseyjones.com/). A popular song written in 1909 (https://youtu.be/m5P7TzXXfkE?feature=shared) memorialized the heroic engineer who reputedly died with one hand on the engine’s brake and one hand on its whistle. (Casey’s wife bitterly protested the last verse of the song until her death,) Many years later the Grateful Dead did their own take on the hero (https://youtu.be/_x2m6i4KFqg?feature=shared). Safe travels! 🙂
Great, always need more overnight stops along the road when needed. . And even more interesting info from you too Neal, thanks!
You’re very welcome, Bill! 🙂
I hope RV Travel starts giving each new mom and pop campground the same free advertising splash you give every Love’s parking-area-for-RVs. News flash, Loves doesn’t need free promotion.
