Where do you buy most of your RV parts and accessories?

Where do you do most of your shopping for RV parts and accessories?

We’re talking about the physical location or online store you use the most often. Do you head down to your local RV dealer’s parts store, or maybe there’s a Camping World nearby? Or do you just type Amazon.com into your computer or smartphone and place your order there, with delivery in a day or two? If you rely on a source not noted in the choices below, please leave a comment and tell us where you go for your RV stuff. Others, we’re sure, would like to know.

Remember, it could take a few moments for the poll to load, so stand by. It will be along very shortly.

Many different online stores, one of them being Amazon.

Where I live the Amish repair campers and they have a store. If they don’t have it they will order it for you.

Where I can find them. Needed replacement screens for overhead fans. Local dealer could not find a source. Camping World was just as hopeless. Amazon’s source had very bad reviews. Finally, found a source that actually had them.
Have been waiting for a replacement slide awning for two months.

Young Farts RV Parts out of Vergerville, Alberta Canada, new and used RV parts for almost any RV. Great service, quick delivery and very affordable. Unfortunately we’ve used them a few times. Look em up!

Thanks for the lead for used parts.

We have a Tiffin motorcoach. If the part we need is available there, we often get it from them.

Even though most come from Amazon, I always scour for the best price and will buy from whom ever is lowest including shipping.

Not to be snarky but it seems I get my parts from the same sources as Forest River. EBay and Amazon.

It’s kind of enlightening/depressing/concerning how many brand name, direct replacement OEM RV parts come from China.

Local RV store, Canadian Tire, Amazon.

Nearest RV dealer is 80+ miles from our home. The local Walmart is the only place that sells anything RV specific. So the best option is to order parts online. I do order pieces from RV specific sources, but when that source charges double what Amazon wants for the same piece then adds shipping costs greater than the part cost and twice as long to deliver – guess where I go?

I said “other” because if I can buy it at WalMart, I do. If not there, it’s usually Amazon. We have plenty of RV dealers around here- who charge at least 10-20-per cent more than retail. Not gonna pay it.

It will be a cold day in hell before I would walk through the doors of a Camping World.

I’ve only purchased one thing from CW, a Honda 2000 (15 years ago). It was a great price at the time plus the CW discount. Since then, I’ve never found anything there I needed or wanted. They closed the store in the McAllen, Tx area so there isn’t really one nearby. We stopped at a CW store on a trip to Missouri. Overpriced, out of stock, and not very customer friendly. I’m not missing out on anything there.

Well, it really depends on the product needed. If it’s something readily available, such as toilet treatment or paper, I go to the store. If it is something that is unique then online. Etrailer.com is a great place to aquire RV and trailer products. I just bought a reading light to match the others in my RV. Amazon is also utilized as a source.

Our local Walmart has downsized the number of RV accessories. What used to be a half aisle is now about 10 feet.
I do a lot of online purchases, Amazon and Etrailer are my first choices. If it’s needed right away, I will buy from my dealer.
NEVER Camping World. High prices and uneducated staff!

All of the above.

I’ve used most of the choices so can’t say any are favorites.

Ebay

I research all internet resources, look at reviews, then decide for best price and service after the sale.

We have a good dealer, so we try to buy from them. We don’t buy that much, anyway, as we are down-sizing, in part to eliminate “stuff.” Back to the KISS principal!

Harbor Freight has great prices on many items

Wherever I can find the best price including shipping. Usually Amazon wins.

Always based on price. 9 times out of 10 Amazon will win.

We try to support the local RV supply guys. A couple of bucks more sometimes, but always a good visit with knowledgeable people

Depends on what’s needed. Majority probably Amazon. Sometimes direct w/Newmar, sometimes a local RV parts or RV salvage shop, if traveling. Gave up Camping World a while back. Will only go if it’s only choice and we are desperate.

Amazon and Camping World are last resorts.

Now it would be replacement parts only.
Been at this so long we don’t need anything, and over the years we bought a lot of new accessories

Since Wal-mart gives permission to campers to use their parking lots I use them for supplies and parts they carry.

I picked other because it’s a combination. Our dealer is independent and 3 miles away, so we usually try there first. Amazon is a close second, otherwise, Camping World or wherever we can find what we need. With some of the shortages in the last 3 years, it can depend on who has it. Last year, our dealer had to go down a list of suppliers to find new hydraulic bed lifts, where once upon a time, they had one main supplier.

Camping world is where we have purchased a good many items, but for furniture and many repair parts it is through our manufacture.

If it’s brand related parts associated with a replacement or repair on our MH we use a great dealer in Iowa. We needed to replace some LED lights…we have 3 different styles…they lead us to the correct parts each and every time we’ve needed something. We appreciate their expertise and are willing to pay a little more for the service. Usually not much more with our WIT discount.

We have never needed parts or accessories for our “original Roadtrek” Class B. The Canadian workers got it right the first time. The only work / parts needed were from the Chevy dealer. (Chevy is another story but they didn’t build on a Ford.)

Lawrence Neely

I will buy locally, but if no one has the parts then amazon

No close RV Stores so I buy online where I find the best deal.

There used to be a nice family owned RV store when I was a teenager, in the 80’s. Sadly, they are long gone. I’ve purchased some tank cleaner from a Camping World that’s 30 miles away. Most of the time I order from Amazon, and other online RV retailers.
