Fiction – mostly Mysteries. I like ones set in other countries.
Non fiction- Caste, Alfie and Me, Science and medical written in words for non scientific people.
I tend to not read either fiction or non-Fiction. Instead, I spend a lot of time reading technical and how-to manuals on many disciplines, focused primarily on technology, electronics, mechanicals, and space sciences.
My kind of person.

I’m currently reading A Killing on the Hill by Robert Dugoni. He’s my favorite author, & I’ve read Almost all of his books. I get most of my books from my library. I love libraries!
Fiction but only certain venue. Westerns, Dan Brown in the suspense category but not the murder mystery or whatever it’s Steven King writes. Then everything else is informational. Still find it easier on the eyes to read paper than on the tablet.
Try a Kindle. Very easy on the eyes, you can adjust brightness, print size and more, lighter than a book, can store dozens on one, touch a word on the screen and a definition of that word pops up, Oh, and you can download books from the library over the internet from anywhere at no cost.
Kindle cost to much and books from some libraries takes months or quite a while to get it just ranting😂
I read kindle books on my phone, I’ve turned the screen black with white words, much easier on the eyes. I still can’t read as long as I would like or as long as I used to but the black screen doubles the time I can keep reading.
Am reading cross country adventurers 2 lane highways. I read about history stuff to see on our next adventure and places to stay hike and kayak..
No matter what I read, I’m always trying to figure out what the author believes about how the world works. I find that endlessly fascinating.
I currently have two books going. The first, non-fiction, is David Brooks’ “How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen”. The other book I’m reading is fiction by Rebecca Yarros and called, “Iron Flame (The Empyrean Book 2).” It’s the second in a series, of which she has not come out with the next one yet. Be forewarned. If you like fantasy and dragons, this is a good read. A bit of a bodice ripper, but an exciting read. I also recommend “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir. He’s the guy that wrote “The Martian.” It can get a bit technical and sciencey, but I love that stuff. I read manuals too, John Wilkins. 😁
Mostly fiction, but I much prefer books that abide to established history or science. And the author is clear where s/he makes something up.

I read when we are on the road; watch television at home. I enjoy both.
I’m currently reading a non-fiction book about the things you need to do 5 years before you retire. I’m a little late reading it since I’m hoping to retire in 3 years.
