OK, we know this is a tough question. And we also know it depends on your body temperature—some people run hot, while others run cold (and age plays a factor in that too).
But if you absolutely had to pick, would you choose to live in a place where daily temperatures were most often lower than 50° Fahrenheit, or daily temperatures were more often higher than 90° Fahrenheit?

My ideal high temps are around 70-75 degrees, but the poll didn’t include this area.
70-75 during the day, and 55-60 at night.
90º during the day would be miserable.
I like it cool…not cold.
I don’t like the cold, but I can dress for it if I have to go out side. I can only take off so much to stay cool and others would not like what they would see. 75-75 is perfect.
Exactly my thoughts. You can always dress to get warmer but you can only strip down so far before the police arrive.

Terrible polling question. We prefer average temperatures around 70. So we travel south for winter, spring & Fall at home on the Cumberland Plateau, & summer in the Adirondacks.
Below 50 or above 90 are too extreme to choose from. The ideal
temps would be between 70-75 as an average, knowing that there would be a normal low and high for the day that would be outside that desired avg of 70-75. And, of course wherever one lives, there would be the seasonal changes that would significantly change the desired average throughout the year, like in the northeast and mid-atlantic regions for example.
Exactly, that’s why full-timers go north in the spring and south in the fall!
Many northern snowbirds can stay home.

I selected the ‘cold’ average, noting there would be extremes on either side. One can put on lots of clothing to stay warm, but can only take off just so much to stay cool (to be legal?). An average in the 70 degree range is probably most desirable, as many have already indicated.
The older I get, the less tolerable hot weather is. Between the 2 choices I’d pick the cooler temps. I enjoy working outside when it’s cooler. I prefer fall or spring camping also. Campfires are nice any time of the day then. Not a fan of sweating just sitting there. Can always dress for cooler weather. Hot weather? Yeah, no one wants to see this old dude in a speedo.🤣
Neither! 70-75° would be the zone. 50 at night is ok and anything at 90 is just to darn hot. I think this time the survey should have included an in between.

Exactly. The whole point of the poll was which extreme would you pick with nothing in between as that obvious.
I don’t know where you come up with these “Reader Poll” questions but here is my thinking on today’s question. I can always add additional clothing to keep warm. I can only get down to my birthday suit to keep cool and I don’t think anyone wants to see that !

Uh, that’s kind’a the point of comments. You can vote on the Reader Polls without leaving, or reading the comments, but what fun would that be? Besides; we’re an older, opinionated group, who enjoy adding our 2¢ worth to the conversation, and reading other’s. Not much else going on. How’s the weather in your area? Great Poll question! A mid-range choice would have been a no brainer. The two extreme choices made us think. I was surprised by the below 50° being the preference. Being from NW WI I have endured more than my share of cold temps, so I chose above 90° (but only slightly, and with low humidity)! Below 50° with high humidity is down-rite miserable (which describes our past weekend).
But raise the low temp threshold to 60°, and I would have to change my vote!
60-70 range is the magic number…I worked and lived in cold too long and I hate 100+ weather.
We live in Texas and always say of our travels “we’re chasing 70°”. That would be our perfect choice, but having to choose between 90+ or 50- 50 gets our vote. Amazed that the tally is 50/50!

If I have to pay for heat I’ll do it in Wisconsin where houses are insulated. It’s considerably cheaper to heat here than in Az
I chose above 90 because it seems most places we travel there is a breeze or a little windy which makes 90+ not feel so hot. On the same token, breezy or windy when it is 50 degrees or less makes those temps feel even colder.

Consequently (?), I’d much rather be hot than cold. Daily average temperatures above 90° F would suit me fine. 🙂 Thanks again and safe travels! 🙂

Ouch, that is a tough one. Is it a humid 90 or a rainy all the time 50? Give me 76 and no humidity at the lake. Sunny most days and occasionally rainy days.
90 in the dry southwest is reasonable . 50 is a little on the chilly side. Would like to say 75 to 85 deg.
We just returned from a Central America cruise. We know we don’t want to live in a sauna! That said, we love the temperate Pacific Northwest because most of the year we live between 45 and 65 degrees.
I like heat and don’t like cold at all period but I have to live 🤧
