Normally June through October. Leaving for first trip June 1st this year.
Great timing for that question. We’ll be heading out for this year’s first trip in just a few days.
Have been out about two weeks a month since January. RV makes lousy lawn ornament.
Usually we’re out once per quarter but not this year. My wife’s brother is disabled and his wife is bedridden so my wife has been providing home care for him until social services could come up. Our first trip of 2024 starts in one week.

For us it is Zero. We own a fifth wheel, and we are not allowed to travel in it. It has been less than a week since it was last used.
We are on day 12 of a 2100mi / 29 day trip from central CA up the Oregon coast and down I5 making wonderful memories 😊
1 short trip from S FL to GA mountains 2022. Prior to that about 2019. Travelling depends on 1. health 2. Finances. I really miss the open road.
My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2023. While camping, on Sept 19th, she rec’d a call from her doctor to come home for a Radical Mastectomy, performed on Sep 25th. She started chemotherapy on Jan 11th, 2024 and should be ending mid June. Then she will go into radiation for however long that takes. So our traveling is on hold and we can’t wait to move on!!!

1 overnighter visiting family, and 1 weekend camping outing since the first of the year. I don’t consider that “travel”. We are heading to Wyoming next month to visit our granddaughter. That will be our first RV “trip” since last fall.
It’s been a slow RVing year so far, but WAY too busy in every other facet of our lives.
family issues, weather (hot or cold), deaths, births and cancer has gotten in the way of RVing. I am considering selling the RV. I am not a happy camper right now

Finished a 1,700 mile trip less than 2 weeks ago. And shortly before that, an almost 700 mile trip. That is the travelling part of the use. Right now, the RV is parked at the curb of our home where it is undergoing a through cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs. It will be back on the road in July – this time for a more local trip.
We came through the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel yesterday – Beautiful area!

Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 We took it for a “spin” last Tuesday (i.e., 9 days ago) to our service shop, Northgate Parts. Their charge after examining a couple of things to ensure nothing was awry was $0. Then I drove it home. Its next scheduled trip is in June to visit warm and sunny Starkville, Mississippi. One week, every month, year round…
Same for us. Every month we go somewhere for a week, and once a year we go for a month to Oregon. It’s great living in California…so many places to go and don’t have to winterize. I understand how all you California haters feel about this state, and you know what?, it’s ok. You’re not missed in the least.
Tucked into a wooded BLM campsite slot up on a mountain, drinking hot cocoa and listening to a babbling creek as I read my favorite newsletter. Will park our rig from July to September and do a 60 day fall tour before we winterize until next March

Just got back Monday from a month long 3,400 mile trip.
We are lucky to have a nice USFS campground just 25 easy miles from the house. It’s where we usually begin & end our RVing season. Our shakedown trip was just a couple days ago. In a week we head to an urban RV park to be closer to a 4-day Dog Rally Obedience trial for one of our dogs. Most of our travel these days is in support of our Rally & Agility trialing, with some just for fun trips scattered in if we can.
Due to a double bypass and an aortic valve replacement, we haven’t been out since last October when we finished up our trip to both the coastal giants and the Sequoia redwoods. We are finally getting out to a local county park Monday, Memorial day, for a 3 night/ 4 day stay as a shakedown trip for the RV, as well as for myself, to make sure all is still working. Making plans for the rest of the year as well !

Like some others, the old body has not been cooperating as of late.
We hung up our keys back in 2020 and sold the MH.
We have been back in WA about a month after wintering in AZ. Our next rv trip starts the day after Memorial Day, which is right beside a lake with 400 miles of ATV trails accessible right out of the rv park. Water views and forest riding is our Shangri-la.
We are leaving tomorrow for a weekend get away. We go about once a month but since it is parked at my place of business, we use it almost daily for lunches.
