Shipments of RVs from manufacturers to dealers improved slightly overall in November, the first uptick of the year, but shipments for the first 11 months remained down significantly. Yearly shipments for 2023 will likely end up being about half of 2021’s record year, when 600,240 RVs flew out the manufacturers’ doors.
Results for the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) November 2023 survey of manufacturers found that total RV shipments ended the month with 25,160 units, an increase of 2.8%, compared to the 24,470 units shipped in November 2022. While the uptick was good news, shipments were far off 2021’s November tally of 49,135 RVs shipped.
To date for 2023, RV shipments were down 38.4% with 291,652 units.
Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, ended the month up 4.4% from last November with 21,429 shipments. Motorhomes finished the month down 5.4% compared to the same month last year with only 3,731 units.
Park model RVs finished November down 17.5% compared to the same month last year, with 325 wholesale shipments.

Wed when I was driving on interstate 80 north around Nuangola, Pa. I had 3 RV’s pass me with Indiana transport plates on. First time I noticed that.
Thank you, RV Travel! Will be interesting how manufacturers deal with this. The manufacturer of RV #1, REV Group, no longer manufacturers RVs under the Monaco brandname. Although that leaves them with RVs branded American Coach, Holiday Rambler, or Fleetwood.
