The best tips to make your RV cabinets shine again
By Gail Marsh
You know they need it. And those RV cabinets aren’t going to clean themselves, people! The good news? Cleaning your RV cabinets isn’t all that difficult. You just need to use a proven method. So, here are some tips for cleaning your RV cabinets.
Outside. Over time, steam, food, and grease splatters accumulate on the RV cabinet door exterior surfaces. The splatters attract dust and pollutants from the air and soon the doors begin to look dingy. Even if you can’t see the grime, your fingers can feel it when you touch the surface of the doors.

Buying an RV: What is the markup on an RV, and what should I offer the dealer?
By Dave Solberg
Recently, Tony Barthel posted an article on RVtravel.com titled “Ex-RV salesman offers shopping tips for new rig.” In the comments, a few people wanted him to provide a formula for what the markup is and what they should offer a dealer. … Tony stated in his post that there are too many variables when it comes to the percent of markup and what the dealer will accept as an offer. However, I would like to provide a little additional information why there is no “formula” for getting the best deal, in my experience.

By Cheri Sicard
In ]this video], we join Drew from Playing with Sticks for a walk-through of the 2024 Bean Stock 2.0 teardrop trailer.
While Bean Trailers had a good reputation for quality, people frequently complained about their prices. The 2024 Bean Stock 2.0 teardrop trailer is their answer to those complaints. It’s a no-frills teardrop trailer built for those who value affordability, low weight, and off-road capability. And it comes in at 30%–40% cheaper than Bean’s last “budget” model.

Angry RVer “Bob” ruins campfire experience. Don’t be like this!
By Gail Marsh
Carl glanced up. “Oh, no,” he said under his breath. “Here comes Bob.” He quickly grabbed his chair and turned to go. Carl’s wife stood and folded her own lawn chair, as well. “Carl, wait! I’ll go with you.” She glanced back at the rest of us still gathered around the fire, and with a low voice whispered, “Bob always makes everything an argument. We’ll see you all later.” It’s sad, isn’t it? The way some folks enter a conversation as if it’s a battle to be won, a verbal fight to the finish? We bet you know someone like Bob. Continue reading. Quick Tip
Hide-a-pain with your hide-a-bed?
Many people find hide-a-beds stashed away in the dinette or couch to be pretty uncomfortable. Here are two suggestions from RVers on making them a bit more bearable: First, unfold a sleeping bag onto the bed and cover with a sheet. The sheet holds the bag in place, making it a bit softer. Or, another RVer puts down a piece of 4″ memory foam over the folded out bed. When the foam isn’t in use, he stores it under, or on, the master bed.

Airbnb: Airstreams & Campers
It’s the best of both worlds—you still get to “camp” in an RV, but it’s not yours so you don’t have to worry about reservations or parking! Explore this page and you’ll find incredible Airstream and Campers to book through Airbnb.
?? MYSTERY PRODUCT OF THE DAY ??
Make yourself laugh and your wife scream. Or perhaps make yourself laugh and make your husband scream. Either way, someone will laugh and someone will scream! See why.
And the Survey Says…
We’ve polled RVtravel.com readers more than 2,500 times in recent years. Here are a few things we’ve learned about them:
• 62 percent have had to remove a tick from their body more than one time. 14 percent have had to remove a tick one time.
• 28 percent do laundry at least twice a week, sometimes more.
• When they go out to eat, the majority of voters, 55 percent, usually go out for dinner. 32 percent go out for lunch, and 13 percent go out most often for breakfast.
Recent poll: Do you believe there should be “No campfire” zones in campgrounds?
Recipe of the Day
German Soft Pretzels
by Cherie Szilvagyi from Deckerville, MI
If you love to purchase pretzels at the mall or airport, these are super easy to make at home and just as good. They’re slightly crisp outside, while the inside is soft and billowy. Dusted with salt enhances the flavor of these pretzels. We dipped them in mustard, but a cheese sauce would also be delish. Don’t worry if the dough appears dry when it’s mixed. After it’s kneaded, the dough comes together. Make sure to eat these pretzels while they’re fresh and warm.
Trivia
In 1949, Popular Mechanics predicted that computers today would weigh approximately 1.5 tons. Wow! In the March 1949 edition, they wrote: “Where a calculator like ENIAC today is equipped with 18,000 vacuum tubes and weighs 30 tons, computers in the future may have only 1,000 vacuum tubes and perhaps weigh only 1.5 tons.”

The article about “angry Bob” is spot on … more so now than ever. Respect, morals…ethics all went out the door long ago…starting in the 1960’s fueled by junk like ” social media” and tv that is full of propaganda….Today’s younger people will never know what life was like in the Ozzie & Harriet days.
That would be nice! -It seemed to tie us together somehow. There was always laughter and love in that show. Then Ricky would sing and we all listened.- I still do.
Me, too, Drew, especially if it is Garden Party (https://youtu.be/60XTeHM9iLQ?feature=shared). Thanks for the reminder and safe travels! 🙂
The “Mystery Product of the Day” states that squirrels etc. don’t know the difference. I wonder if you had a couple of the fake snakes under your RV, if that would help ward off vermin . . .
We have tried similar ones around our RV barn to little apparent success, Tommy. Perhaps this one appears more realistc enough to work, but I suggest you keep your expectations low. Just my two cents. Safe travels! 🙂
Comment to article Angry Bob I think a lot of it started when Government Officials started referring to themselves as our leaders they are not they are our representatives. All people working for the government or elected work for us the US Citizens despite what they may think. Just my two cents from 60 plus years on this earth.
PS: I’m a citizen not a subject or a child.
Happy dance like a chicken day everyone.
Even tho computers don’t weigh 1.5 tons, they probably feel like an anchor for many.
Well said, Cancelproof! 🙂 Safe travels! 🙂
Thank you, Emily and Diane! 🙂 We have plenty of real ones around without purchasing the mystery product. Fyere is a very pretty dog! 🙂 I found Gail’s reprinted article unfortunately on-target. I loved her response to the cranky person behind her in line. I am sure that he was extremely embarrassed after she made the offer even though not too embarrassed to accept. Well-played, Gail! 🙂 Thanks again and safe travels! 🙂
We would pass on the mystery product, looks like a heart attack in the making to me. We do not like snakes in any shape or form.
Cute pet of the day!
