Seminar presenters from RVtravel.com featured at expanded spring RV shows

Hi Susan,
This will be a very busy show season for me and other RVtravel.com contributors. In addition, the seminars will also feature a longtime RVtravel.com reader, Neal Davis, as a seminar presenter! Neal has been reading and commenting (thousands of positive comments!) on RVtravel.com articles for many years. He attended seminars at the Nashville show last year, where I got to meet him and we have become friends.

RV Supershows

I have been conducting seminars since 1989, starting at Winnebago Industries and continuing with my own video production company, Passport Media Creations. Several years ago I was contacted by RV Supershows to conduct seminars at the Harrisburg Show.

The promotion company has grown to more than 18 shows and continues to grow. The promoter wants to add value to all the shows by having informative seminars and was looking for more presenters. Last year we added Dave Helgeson (an RVtravel.com writer and longtime industry insider RVer).

About Neal Davis

This year Neal Davis has been added and will be conducting seminars at the Nashville, TN, and Dayton, OH, shows. Here is his introduction bio:

Neal Davis was along for many weekend tailgates and a few RV trips with in-laws before he and his wife bought their first RV, a 43′ diesel pusher, in 2016. After five years and 48,000 miles, including 4 months and 12,000 miles to Alaska and back in 2019, they traded for RV #2, a 36′ diesel pusher. Currently they are planning a second trip to Alaska in RV #2.

Neal and his wife are retired. They live in East Tennessee, and care for the 120-acre family former farm when not traveling. Not particularly handy, they have identified and patronize a diesel mechanic and RV shop for the many tasks they cannot complete themselves.

Join Neal as he provides his own personal insight and tips to help find the right RV and floorplan for your needs. Whether you are a first-time buyer or seasoned veteran, you will be sure to learn tips and tricks from Neal’s real-life, hands-on experiences, including some of the “bloopers”—such as almost driving away with the electric cord still attached to the campground pedestal. What you learn from Neal will make your RV adventure much more enjoyable.

Should I buy a new or used RV?

Dear Dave,
I’m not sure if this is your field or not but maybe you can steer me in the right direction. We’re looking to purchase our first RV and we plan to go full-time. I have read that it would be better to buy a used one versus a new one and get an extended warranty. Is this true? Thanks for your advice. —Brenda
