A potential cooktop fire has caused the recall of certain Tiffin motorhomes. Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Allegro Open Road, Allegro RED 360, 2024 Byway, and 2022 Phaeton motorhomes. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat. A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire. Tiffin reports that the cooktops involved were an equipment option, and at this point cannot suggest just how many motorhomes are affected.
Remedy
Dealers can remove the LED backlights or terminate the circuit for the red LED lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 31, 2024. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin’s number for this recall is TIF-138.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 The poor RV manufacturers! It is the stove manufacturer who is at fault, but the manufacturers who installed them who must issue the recall notices. 🙁 Thank you for passing along the information! 🙂 Safe travels! 🙂
Did all the RV manufacturers buy the same “piece of crap” board?
Sorta sounds that way, eh, Jesse?🤔 Have a good night. 😀 –Diane
I believe THOR bought up Tiffin Motorcoach and it seems like everything THOR puts their hands on turns to trash.
Tiffin used to be in the top tier of quality. Then Thor bought them
