We’re hard-pressed to explain how an RVer could be missing a travel trailer and not know it. But in a strange case, opening sometime before mid-October, police say it’s happened. Police find stolen travel trailer; now they want to find the owner.
Police find stolen travel trailer in the Okanogan
Canadian Mounties in Vernon, British Columbia, say they found what appears to be a Keystone Premier travel trailer while doing an investigation. That happened back on October 11. Now they say they can’t find the owner—apparently a stolen report was never filed.
How could someone steal your trailer—months ago—and you not know it? Maybe it was parked at a storage yard, and laid up, waiting for spring. Perhaps the RVer parked it at their “summer place,” and hasn’t returned since. On the other hand, why wouldn’t a VIN search yield up the owner’s name? Who knows!

I have my trailer stored in a gated and fenced lot with cameras. There are some there that have not been moved in years. I doubt very much if the owners even come to look at them.
I spoke with the lot owner and he told me as long as the rent is paid and the unit is in decent condition, there is nothing he can do.
