RV made from a watermelon? Carve one yourself!

By Cheri Sicard
In the video below, we learn how to carve a watermelon RV from the team at TheRVKeys. This watermelon RV sculpture fruit salad bowl is sure to be a hit at your next potluck party.

Hollowed-out watermelons have always been popular containers for fruit salad. And, best of all, there are no dishes to do at the end—you just discard the empty shell.

This was their first attempt at making a watermelon RV. The basic premise is there, although the end result is still a bit on the crude side. However, it looks better filled with colorful fruit. And I am sure the party participants will appreciate the effort.

That said, I think the final design could use a bit of refinement. Other pieces of fruit could be used for things like bumpers, wheel hubcaps, and headlights.

I may give it a go this summer and will post photos if I do. If you give creating a watermelon RV a try, please share your photos, too!
