Best RV gear from Costco for spring 2024

By Cheri Sicard
Spring is in full swing and that means lots of new seasonal merchandise at Costco. Did you know that includes a lot of great RV gear? In the video below, Jason and Abby Epperson from RV Miles, one of the winners of our 2024 RV video awards, take us on a shopping trip to point out all the great RV gear you can get at Costco.

This membership big box store is a good place to shop, not only for its deals but for its generous return policy. It’s also because pretty much everything Costco sells meets a minimum level of quality.

True, RVers won’t always want giant-sized portions of things, but sometimes they will, and honestly, some things, especially items you regularly use, are not so giant as to not make sense in a well-packed RV.

But beyond consumables, Costco always offers great seasonal merchandise, and especially in the springtime, that seasonal merchandise, will appeal to RVers. In fact, I had already picked up the Rio Swinging Hammock Chair mentioned in the video before I saw the video (review coming soon).

I will also add that I love the set of Melamine dishes I got at Costco for my RV several years ago. Each season at this time they seem to come out with a stylish new set, any one of which would have worked for my taste and aesthetics.

While Costco is known for offering great deals, not EVERYTHING at Costco is a great deal. So Jason and Abby take that into consideration with their choices to include in the video, and they also highlight some of the RV gear from Costco that are NOT such great deals.

The video covers several categories of RV gear from Costco including:

  • Shelters and screened rooms
  • Camp chairs and cots
  • Lighting
  • Water sports gear
  • Outdoor games
  • Storage solutions
  • Outdoor showers
  • Camp stoves and outdoor cooking options and tools
  • Coolers (including an Igloo portable refrigerator/freezer at half the price of a Dometic!)
  • Outdoor music options
  • Generators
  • Best food items for RVers

And much, much MORE! Wow, Costco has RVers covered!

Be sure to watch the video to see details on each of the items, what Jason and Abby did and did not like about each one, and how the Costco price compares to deals you can get elsewhere for the same or similar products.

Melamine dishes are good and lightweight, however they should not be used in the microwave. They can crack from the high heat of the food and possibly leach toxic chemicals.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 My, my, my, that was a comprehensive video. 🙂 We aren’t members, but perhaps we should reconsider. We considered joining about a year ago and the crowds were more than DW could withstand. Wondering if it was unusually crowded, we asked the guy at the door. His response that it was a pretty typical number of people ensured that we just kept walking out the door. Thanks again, have a great week, and safe travels! 🙂

Gas prices are usually a bit lower there than the local stations too.
