Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings
by Cindy Puga from San Antonio, TX
Preparing chicken and dumplings has never been easier. It’s as simple as prepping the veggies, putting the ingredients into the slow cooker, and then letting the Crock Pot go to work.
A short time before it’s time to eat, shred the chicken and add the dumplings. The little pieces of dough puff into soft buttery pillows. The savory and lightly sweet sauce from the chicken soaks into the dumplings. A comforting meal the whole family will love. Click here for the recipe.
Slow Cooker Sesame Chicken
by Vicki Picotte from Northglenn, CO
The next time you’re craving take-out, make this slow cooker sesame chicken instead. It’s as good as any restaurant and less expensive to make at home.
The chicken breasts are extremely tender after slow cooking. The sauce is savory with a hint of sweetness. Sesame seeds sprinkled on top add a touch of nutty flavor. Serve over white rice for an Asian-inspired meal. Here’s the recipe.
Shredded Pork Taquitos
by Jennifer R. from Portland, OR
Skip buying frozen taquitos and make your own pork taquitos at home. Not only is this an easy meal, but your family will also request them again and again.
The majority of the meal is made in the slow cooker. Simmering with spices, oranges, and lime, the pork tenderloin is full of flavor. Once rolled and baked, the flour tortillas get delicious crunchy edges and are smothered in melted cheese. Get the recipe here.
“World Famous” Slow Cooker Meatballs
by Lindsay V. from Southeastern, MA
We’re not sure if these slow cooker meatballs are world-famous, but they were very popular in our kitchen. First and foremost, they’re super easy. Just mix the meatballs, place them in the slow cooker, and let the Crock Pot do its magic.
The flavor of the meatballs is delicious with the combination of pork and ground beef. Perfectly seasoned, fresh onions, garlic, and parsley add tons of flavor and make these meatballs taste like something grandma made. These meatballs were delicious alongside a salad and are tasty on spaghetti. But, we loved making meatballs subs with them. Yum! Here’s the recipe.
