Tour the ULTRA-luxury American Coach diesel pusher

In the video below we join one of our readers’ favorite RV YouTube channels, Big Truck Big RV, for a tour of an ultra-luxury diesel pusher motorhome by American Coach. If you want a top-of-the-line RV, you might want to check this one out. Be sure to watch the video for an explanation of how this coach is constructed differently than others on the market, from the ground up.

The stylish interior more closely resembles a contemporary Manhattan apartment than a motorhome. For starters, it features a hand-laid, grouted, heated porcelain tile floor. Even the slide room is tiled for a beautiful seamless look.

American Coach diesel pusher interiorThe kitchen is better than the one I have at home, with large L-shaped quartz countertops, a huge stainless steel sink, an induction cooktop, a convection microwave, a HUGE Samsung refrigerator and freezer, and a dishwasher. There’s a big pantry with a built-in spice rack and even a wine fridge.

I like that the kitchen is still functional even with the slide in. Be sure to watch the video to see the innovative way that works.

Opposite the kitchen is a bar with seating in front of picture windows, the perfect place for morning coffee or evening cocktails. It also makes a terrific workstation.

The center of the coach features a half bath, keeping the huge back bathroom private.

The bedroom, again, is nicer than what I have at home, with an enormous amount of storage space and a king-sized articulating bed.

  • Independent suspension on the front and Ultra Steer on the back for greater maneuverability despite its size
  • Automatic hydraulic and airbag leveling
  • Four televisions: in the cockpit, the living room, the bedroom, and outside
  • All electronic blinds

What’s not to like?

While they did not talk about it, I assume the price. Anything this luxurious is bound to be pricey. They did talk about a different American Coach motorhome that, believe it or not, is even more luxe than this one. They mentioned that one runs about $150,000 MORE than this one but did not talk about how much this one is. [Just to give you an idea of pricing, online it shows the following: the 2024 American Dream MSRP is $791,173, and the 2024 American Eagle MSRP is $1,093,746.]

I wonder at $750K + will the American Coach have the same quality issues that you see across the RV industry as a whole? I would hope not.

Thank you, Cheri! We liked American Coach, a lot. We had a 2016 43′ American Revolution from 7/16 – 7/22 (48,000 miles including a trip to Alaska and back). We tried hard to like the short (38′) 2022 American Tradition, but could not get past having to crawl over the bed to use the bathroom in travel mode. We tried real hard to like the short (39′) 2022 American Dream, but couldn’t get past the fuel fill being directly over the house-battery storage bay AND the massive (52″, 48″?) television hung on the wall INSTEAD of having a window on the driver side. If you want an American Coach RV, go to Motor Home Specialist in Alvarado, Texas. They compete ONLY on price. We got RV #1 there.

Cheri, this is so out of the realm of the RVs you usually present. Nice coach. And I especially like the schpeal about how to ‘finance’ your new lifestyle even if you are just a normal working stiff (or retired normal working stiff). I continue to wonder why there is never a “driver’s door” on almost all motorhomes. Foretravel is an exception.

Absolutely agree on the need for a “drivers door” for all motorhomes ! It’s a much needed alternate escape route.

Hi Tommy: I have a drivers door on our Class A and I use it all the time. A major convenience and emergency escape route. We have the traditional middle entry door. I think the thinking on these large coaches is the front entry is a direct path to the drivers seat. In our case, without the driver door, I would have to climb over the dog house and risk breaking my neck! I wouldn’t consider a Class A with mid entry without the drivers door.

Now even more important is an escape door in the rear bedroom vs that 6-7′ drop to the ground all scraped up by the window ledge! Working on an install on ours! (Probably never happen – but fun to work on – on paper!)

Good point DW/ND, on scraping yourself up trying to use the escape window. We have a push-out escape window in our TT and to me, it’s almost unusable. First off, there’s no way to hold the window open while trying to escape so I guess you just scrape yourself along the bottom of the window as you get scraped by the window itself. Then there’s the matter of at least a five-foot drop. But I guess broken bones and scraped skin beats burning up . . .
