You’re here because you love RVing. It’s a passion of yours, something that’s deep in your soul. Getting in your motorhome, or pickup truck or SUV with a trailer, and hitting the open road fills you with excitement. It’s a part of you.
We get it. This is why we’re expanding our RVtravel.com mission on YouTube in a new way.
We’ve had a YouTube site for more than a decade, as many of you may know. If you’ve been following the channel, however, you’ll also recognize that it’s been sort of hit-and-miss; there have been times of regular content creation when a lot of content has been pumped out. Other times, like recently, the channel has been quiet as a mime—no videos coming out for extended periods.
Those days are over.
The RVtravel.com YouTube channel is back.
In a big way. The Phoenix is rising.
I’ve been brought back onboard (you may remember my name from some writing I’ve done here in the past) to drive video creation on the site and shake things up. As you’ll discover, I like shaking things.
That means you’ll see differences immediately. In fact, here’s our new Welcome video that summarizes our mission statement for the channel.
The key takeaway: It’s about you.
We understand your passion because it’s ours, too. We love seeing trees and mountains and lakes. We love complaining about the leak we can’t find, and how infuriating it is when people reserve campgrounds and don’t show up.
Not to get too psycho-babbleish here, but what I’m trying to say is that we are you. And the reborn RVtravel.com YouTube channel will reflect that. We’re going to create the same kind of community you experience now through our website, associated newsletters, and numerous Facebook groups.
That means many things, which you’ll learn about in the coming months. One big change is that I’ll be reaching out to you and making you a part of the channel in ways that may surprise—and hopefully delight—you.
Videos will be published on a regular basis going forward, and we’ll have a mix of news, features, reviews, interviews, and some fun stuff I promise that you’re not expecting (how’s that for a teaser?).
Through it all, we’ll enjoy and share our passion together. The RV community is a tight one, and on our YouTube channel we’ll do our best to contribute to it. But we can’t be our best without you. It’s a team sport, and we all have a role to play.
