Bass Pro Shops are known for their welcoming policy toward RVers. Overnighting in the parking lot is a “go” in many of the big sporting goods chain locations. We’re not so sure just how pleased management was at the Leeds, Alabama, location when a guest got a little carried away. A man, wearing nothing, took a dive in the store’s giant aquarium.
Crashes car, naked man streaks into Bass Pro
Local police say that last Friday, a man crashed his car into a light pole at the Leeds sporting outlet. Two family members in the car with him must have been rather shocked when, after he climbed out of the car, the man ripped off his clothing and streaked into the store.
Once inside, the 42-year-old is said to have cannonballed into Bass Pro’s giant aquarium. He then took advantage of a brief “shower” in the store’s waterfall. When confronted by police, he jumped back into the big fish pool. After paddling around in the pool for a bit, he clambered over the side, and promptly fell onto the concrete floor.
Slippery arrest
Reportedly, it was a bit of a tussle for police to corral the naked, and presumably slippery, man. At one point he kicked an officer in the groin. The antics continued outside as, after being tucked away into the back of a patrol car, the suspect kicked and damaged the inside of the cruiser.
The sporting goods store streaker was eventually taken to a hospital for a psych evaluation.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! Wow! That was amazing. A psychological evaluation seems a very good call, given these facts. I wonder if “the rest of the story” will rise beyond the regional newspapers and news outlets of Alabama sufficiently that we know how this ends? Thanks again, and safe travels! 🙂
HOOK UP !! 😁
“Don’t look, Ethel!” Too late. She was mooned!
Notice the fish weren’t into small worms.
🤣🤣 Good one, Skip! Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
I’m guessing alcohol (or drugs) were involved?
He called “Cannonball”, so everything is OK. And if you’ve ever seen one of these aquariums, you’ll know what a “constructive nuisance” is.
