Cow Cuddling Internship through Harvest Hosts
Harvest Hosts, a membership program offering RVers access to 5,000+ unique RV camping locations, is announcing the launch of its Cow Cuddling Internship program for the summer of 2024. This internship offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for passionate individuals to immerse themselves in the therapeutic practice of cuddling with cows (and mini cows) while contributing to their well-being.
As a Cow Cuddling Intern, participants will engage in a journey of compassion and care, curating cow cuddling experiences at various Harvest Hosts locations across the country. Interns will also play a crucial role in training emotional support cows at local farms, ensuring they are comfortable and safe for human interaction and providing visitors with memorable cuddling sessions. This is a fit for someone seeking a hands-on role open to a half-and-half balance of work and travel.

Responsibilities
Interns will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including:
- Providing gentle and affectionate cuddling sessions for cows to promote relaxation and stress relief
- Training emotional support animals to acclimate to close proximity to humans
- Assisting with feeding, grooming, and overall cow care
- Supporting farm operations and participating in educational programs for visitors
- Promoting animal welfare and adhering to ethical standards for animal care
Qualifications
Candidates for the internship should possess the following qualifications:
- Genuine love and dedication to animals, particularly cows
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for teamwork
- Moderate fitness level and commitment to safety protocols
- Willingness to travel to multiple Harvest Hosts locations across the U.S.
- Previous experience with animal care or farm work (preferred)
- Expertise in farm-themed lullabies and poetry (preferred)
- Ability to interpret bovine behavior and communication cues (preferred)

Emotional support cows, really? OMG, this is beautiful. Cows have been helping my emotional health for years….. in the form of 12 Ounces if dry aged (or wet aged), prime filet, RARE…. Cows are especially good at emotuonally making attitude adjustments of people when the go into a great big grinder and spit out pattie meat for In’nOut cheeseburgers ….
OK, l will say some more. Hopefully they all take out student loans that plumbers and firefighters can pay off for them…. LOL.

Great program. If I were in better physical shape, I’d go. In my youth I worked in a small farm. Feeding and caring for chickens and cows. I recall it with passion today.
Fantastic, for the interns and the people that stop by to cuddle. I was fortunate to have been on farms and cuddled baby calves, fed then and let them suck my fingers in order to learn to suck a bottle, if mom was not able. People need to be able to understand animals and not kill them and drag them into a bar.
I too grew up on a farm and fully endorse what a great childhood and lifestyle farming is. I preferred the social and intellectual nature of the hogs as a child but would never disrespect any of the livestock. Livestock being the key word.
I guess my question for these interns is: Do these cows you are cuddling also fart and thus warm the planet or are they a special flatulence free breed? Can you be an environmentalist and still be a cow cuddler? This is so duplicitous, but consistency even in duplicity is definitely a constant with the emotional support cow crowd.

Be careful Cancelproof, I just may be an environmentalist as I do believe we need an environment. Without it we would be in outer space, wouldn’t we? I also think we need cows in the environment to provide meat, milk, leather, glue, and poo, which is needed to fertilize the soil for those who eat grain and greens. I’m a “do not mess with Mother Nature ” environment kind of guy. lol

Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 It may be no April Fool prank, but it is waaaayyyyy out there. 🤔 Daddy raised beef cattle for 50 years, which entailed me getting “up close, and personal” with cows of all sizes and dispositions and one-ton bulls, which sometimes were of surly disposition. I can’t imagine that the HH CEO is both knowledgeable about cows and seriously looking for someone to turn livestock into pets. I won’t impede the deliberators as they read through the applications they receive by adding my own. Thanks again and safe travels! 🙂
