Watch out Love’s, Pilot Flying J, TA and other truck stops, or travel centers if you wish. Dolly Parton is about to provide some competition. No word if she will follow Love’s lead and incorporate overnight RV parking into the effort. Few details are available now other than those of the business partnership.
The truck stop is already there. Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee, is teaming up with Dolly to rebrand and refresh its operation in 2026, with a new name—Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop.
“The partnership blends the travel stop’s long-standing reputation with Parton’s unmistakable Tennessee charm, creating what both sides say will be a new kind of roadside destination,” a news release notes. But no word on what “a new kind of roadside destination” means.
The Cornersville site will serve as both a flagship and a test model for additional Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stops planned across Tennessee and beyond. More locations are expected to be announced next year.
Parton said her decades of touring made the project a natural fit. “I’ve spent much of my life on the road. Whether you’re driving a truck, a bus or a car, you want a place that feels like home and recharges you,” she said in the news release. “I believe we’ll fill a void out there on the highways, while bringing the heart and soul of Tennessee.”
The remodeled flagship location will stay open during construction and will focus on upgraded amenities, curated dining and authentic regional retail designed to appeal to travelers looking for comfort and character.
Though design details are still under wraps, permitting and partnership work is underway as the venture plans for future expansion.

When I stop for fuel, that is all that I want. I usually find gas and diesel cheaper in towns than at the interstate truck stops.
Hopefully, these places will be RV friendly. Gas pumps parallel to the building to allow easy in and out access, or dedicated RV lanes out of the way of the regular pumps, like some Flying J’s.
The above picture shows them perpendicular to the building. If cars are parked in front of the building, a large MH pulling a Toad, or longer TT would have a problem.
