Video offers owners blueprint for inspecting their own fifth wheel RV

Join me (Dustin) at my shop, California RV Specialists, as I conduct a thorough inspection of a Grand Design RV fifth wheel for potential frame damage. In this video, I’ll walk you through the entire inspection process, highlighting the key areas to check when you’re concerned about frame issues.

After a detailed review, we’re happy to report that this unit came through with flying colors—no frame damage was found. Huge thanks to Grand Design RV for their support and assistance in making this inspection possible.

If you’re a Grand Design owner—or just an RV enthusiast—this video will give you valuable insight into how we inspect for structural integrity and what to look for when maintaining your own RV.

In this video, we cover:

  • How to check for frame damage in a fifth wheel

Thank you for making and sharing the video of your inspection, Dustin! Were you able to reattach the outer shell with just screws, or was some adhesive also used? I suspect only screws, given that you removed the siding without damaging it. Have a great weekend and safe travels!
