Two more Lazydays locations fall under Camping World’s control amid struggles

Last November we took a closer look at Lazydays’ financial footing. The story described the situation as a financial whirlpool, one heading down. One reader responded to the piece, saying in part, “Four years ago they had a great service department but now they’re just another Camping World clone but without the cash.” Another Camping World Lazydays association has surfaced, as CW is now taking over two more of the distressed Lazydays’ dealerships.

Camping World Lazydays: Former “expects to close on additional locations”

Camping World Holdings, Inc. has announced that it’s closed on the asset and real estate purchase of Lazydays in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It also closed on the asset purchase of Lazydays in Vancouver, Washington. In a media release, Camping World added, “The Company expects to close on additional locations in the coming weeks.”

A little over two weeks ago the big Lemonis combine snapped up another Lazydays dealership, that one in Surprise, Arizona.

“An opportunistic consolidation play”

According to a report from woodallscm.com, market analyst firm Stock Titan described the Camping World move as, “an opportunistic consolidation play amid Lazydays’ bankruptcy* proceedings.” [editor’s correction: Lazydays is not in bankruptcy. See below] The analyst firm added, “From a financial perspective, these acquisitions should provide immediate revenue contributions with minimal integration risk, as CWH has extensive experience absorbing competitor locations.”

Where the carcass is, the vultures will gather.

*UPDATE: Following the publication of this story, market analyst firm Stock Titan published a correction regarding its prior statement that indicated that Lazydays is in bankruptcy. The company is NOT in bankruptcy proceedings. Stock Titan has since issued a statement on the matter: “You are absolutely right, and we sincerely appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have updated the analysis to correct the inaccuracy.”  RVtravel.com update at 1:52 p.m. PDT, 2/27/2025.

Thank you, Russ and Tina, for the news. A bit more than 3 years ago we were RV shopping and were on our way home from checking out National Indoor RV’s Nashville location. We phoned the Lazy Days Murfreesboro location en-route home and got someone to answer, and promise to call us back shortly. After 3 years, we have yet to get the promised return call. I guess they’ll make a great Camping World location with that sort of customer service, huh? 😉 Have a great day and safe travels!

Like a fungus CW just keeps on spreading and no vaccine to prevent it and no miracle drug to kill it. COVID RV disease I guess.
