New Love’s in Virginia adds more RV hookup sites to national network

The first new Love’s Travel Stop of 2025 is now open. RVers looking for a spot to get off the roadway and hunker down for the night can add Elliston, Virginia, to the list of Love’s RV hookup locations, this one alongside Interstate 81. Love’s Virginia RV hookup sites should draw more attention to the already popular low-cost overnight alternative.

Love’s Virginia RV hookup sites are first of 2025

With Claytor Lake State Park just a half-hour drive away, Elliston is an ideal location for Love’s growing RV network. This travel stop includes six RV hookups and additional RV parking spaces, an RV dump, and private showers. The Elliston travel stop is located off I-81 at 5275 N. Fork Road.

Food options at the Elliston travel stop include Love’s Fresh Kitchen, Arby’s, and the area’s first Dunkin’ Donuts. If your fuel tank needs a fix, in addition to pumps shared with four-wheelers, there are nine dedicated diesel bays. If you’re an Open Roads fuel discount member, you’ll find significant savings at those pumps.

Interestingly, in an “either you love it or you hate it” move, Love’s says it’s adding “self check-out” options to the convenience store end of the new site. You can pay for these hookup sites outside at the kiosk, or through the internet.

Russ and Tiña De Maris
Russ and Tiña De Maris
Russ and Tiña went from childhood tent camping to RVing in the 1980s when the ground got too hard. They've been tutored in the ways of RVing (and RV repair) by a series of rigs, from truck campers, to a fifth-wheel, and several travel trailers. In addition to writing scores of articles on RVing topics, they've also taught college classes for folks new to RVing. They authored the book, RV Boondocking Basics.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! We drive through there with some frequency. Perhaps this will give us amother fuel-stop option. Have a great week and safe travels!

In my tow vehicle, i get 24% less mileage than with other selections. The 10¢ savings proved to allow purchase of love fuel for the exact same price as neighboring truck stops, sorry loves is off my list.
