A Forest River motorhome recall falls on the heels of the discovery of potentially bad LP tank brackets. Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Georgetown and FR3 Class A motorhomes. The liquid petroleum gas (LPG) tank mounting brackets may break, which can result in the LPG tank becoming dislodged and damaged. A damaged LPG tank increases the risk of a fire. Potentially 6,966 motorhomes could be affected.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the brackets and welds as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 23, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-206-7600. Forest River’s number for this recall is 68-1736.
Recall Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

As “Looney Tunes” would say “KABOOM”.
Another FR recall..how sad to see.
Thank you, Russ and Tina! Yikes! That is a dangerous situation. Forest River does have quality control, don’t they? It seems as though adding one, or expanding the number of inspectors, number of checks, something, everything (?) should be done. It DOES seem as though Forest River has a different recall every week!?!?! My goodness! Safe travels! 🙂
There is a short thread about a 2020 Forest River Georgetown, on IRV2 (with pictures) about this problem. Pictures in post #1 & #7. May of 2023
