One of the biggest decisions when buying an RV is figuring out how much space you really need. More room can make life on the road a lot more comfortable—but it also means a bigger rig to tow or drive, and sometimes fewer campsite options.
Maybe you’ve found yourself wishing your RV were just a little longer. Another five feet could mean a larger bathroom, a more spacious bedroom, extra storage, or enough room to stop bumping into your travel companion every time someone needs to squeeze by.
Or maybe you’ve had the opposite thought. Perhaps you’d happily give up five feet if it meant fitting into more National Forest campgrounds, making parking easier, or having a less stressful drive down winding roads. After all, do you really use all that extra space?
Of course, there’s always the possibility that your RV is exactly the right size. It fits where you want to camp, has everything you need, and you wouldn’t change a thing.
So, what about you? If you could wave a magic wand, would you make your RV about five feet longer, about five feet shorter, or would you leave it exactly as it is?
