The new 2027 Airstream Atlas 25RT: A Class B with rear twin beds

The 2027 Airstream Atlas 25RT brings a rear twin-bed layout to Airstream’s compact luxury Class B motorhome lineup. Its slide-free floor plan, large lithium battery bank, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 chassis give two travelers a self-contained coach without the bulk of a larger Class C.

In the video at the end of this post, we get a tour from Patrick Botticelli, of New Jersey’s Colonial Airstream.

Mercedes-Benz chassis and exterior design

The Atlas 25RT rides on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 chassis with a 170-inch wheelbase. A 208-horsepower, four-cylinder turbo high-output diesel engine powers the coach, with estimated fuel economy of 15 to 16 mpg.

Specs:

  • Length: 24 feet, 9 inches
  • Height: 10 feet, 6 inches
  • Interior headroom: 6 feet, 6 inches
  • GVWR: 12,125 pounds
  • Payload before factory options: About 2,100 pounds
  • Towing capacity: Up to 4,000 pounds

The Tenorite premium metallic paint combines dark tones, silver accents, and black lower trim. Custom wheels, frameless awning-style windows, and the lack of a cab-over section keep the profile clean and aerodynamic. Rear VB-Airsuspension helps reduce body roll and harsh road movement, while a 14-foot power awning retracts if its seismic sensor detects a shock.

Large battery capacity–No propane

The Atlas 25RT is a no-propane coach. Its Advanced Power Plus system includes 17.2 kWh of heated 12-volt lithium batteries, a 311-amp secondary alternator, and a 3,000-watt inverter. The battery system can power outlets, the microwave, and air conditioning without shore power.

Heat and hot water use the diesel and electric Timberline system. Optional 400-watt roof solar helps maintain the battery bank, and an energy-management system can shed electrical loads if demand gets too high.

The secondary alternator charges while the coach idles, giving the Atlas a practical way to replenish its battery capacity between campground hookups.

Storage, utilities, and camp setup

A pass-through rear trunk has carpeted walls, a rubber floor mat, lighting, an outlet, and E-Track tie-down points. Other exterior bays include motion-sensor lighting, an outside outlet, USB, HDMI, a utility shower port, and storage for the included exterior table and chairs.

The water system includes a 23-gallon fresh tank, 31-gallon gray tank, and 27-gallon black tank. A macerator pump moves waste through a narrow hose, while the black-tank flush helps rinse the system afterward. Optional hydraulic leveling jacks level the coach at the press of a button.

Inside, Amber Ridge decor pairs warm tan-orange finishes with two-tone power swivel cab seats. The living area includes a jump seat, solid-surface counters, plywood cabinetry, aluminum trim, fully ducted air conditioning, and Garmin multiplex controls for lights, tanks, awning, inverter, heating, and water systems.

The galley has slide-out pantry storage, a 6.6-cubic-foot refrigerator with drawer freezer, a portable 1,000-watt induction cooktop, microwave, and stainless steel sink with pull-out sprayer. In-motion Starlink and a JBL sound system are also included.

At the rear, the 33×76-inch twin beds have 6-inch mattresses, under-bed storage, drawers, USB and USB-C ports, and a rear Garmin control panel. A swiveling table makes room for rear-trunk access.

The bathroom adds a porcelain macerator toilet, sink, storage, MaxxAir fan, and fiberglass shower.

A compact coach built for two

A fully equipped 2027 Airstream Atlas 25RT shown with premium paint, solar, hydraulic jacks, Advanced Power Plus, and Starlink carried an MSRP of $327,125.

The rear twin-bed floor plan gives the Atlas 25RT a distinct advantage for two travelers who want separate sleeping spaces, substantial battery capacity, and a slide-free interior.
