Will you have a BBQ today?

It’s Memorial Day! In other words, it’s time to BBQ! Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day are the three most popular days for BBQing in the U.S. July 4th is the most popular, followed by Memorial Day then Labor Day.

And what about the food? The most popular Memorial Day food prepared on the grill is burgers, followed by steak, hot dogs and chicken. For sides, grilled corn is most popular, followed by potatoes and other veggies.

So, what’s on your grill today? Are you having people over to BBQ or are you going somewhere? Maybe you’re BBQing, but just for your partner or partner and kid(s).

Please tell us in the poll below, then leave a comment and tell us what you’re having!

I’m in northeast NY. We had our BBQ on sunday as mondays weather was going to be worse than sundays.

Bought some yesterday when we had just eaten something else. We’ll be having that takeout in a new RV park tonight, after driving all day to get to it!

We grilled hamburgers yesterday with family, today is for remembering those who gave their lives for their country and our freedom.

Taking the wife out to a Korean BBQ place for dinner tonight. It’s the least I could do after two decades of dragging her around the planet while I was on active duty.

My Darling Wife decided to do a rack of baby back ribs in the toaster oven. I volunteered to do them on the grill, but she offered that I would need a blood transfusion from all the mosquito bites … (With all the rain we’ve been having, you don’t want any exposed skin outside, here in Southeast Louisiana. New Orleans TV weatherman reported over 42 inches of rain since the first of 2021!)

I marked “no” because we grill, not BBQ our food.

We’re having a low country boil. By the way, down South, barbecue is a food, not an event. We eat barbecue, we don’t invite people to one. We call it a cookout. LOL

Not in the rain. Maybe next weekend when all kids can be outside and no rain.

I responded no, but now you all are making me crave some. I have always had burgers on Memorial Day.

Voted no. But we gave some ribs hell on Saturday.

No, we are stranded in Oregon, waiting for nearly a month for GEICO to authorize repairs and don’t have the will to barbeque. Every day is a cookout now.

We BBQ’d yesterday with friends. Today we relax and remember…and eat leftover BBQ!

BBQ was yesterday. Today is for remembrance of the Heroes that gave all.
