How long has it been since you traveled with your RV?

When was the last time you traveled in your RV? Are you in your RV as you’re reading this now? Have you taken it out within the last week? Within the last month? Within the last six months?

After you vote, please leave a comment and be more specific with your answer. If you live in your RV full time, answer that you’re in it (out with it) right now. That’ll work for the sake of this poll question. Thanks!

We spent two months this winter camping on the Gulf Coast, and we’re now on our second trip of the Midwest camping season.

My 94 year old aunt wanted to go to a casino for her birthday so off we went on a four day trip. I personally do not tolerate casinos well but thanks to my patient wife the aunt enjoyed her casino time. She won $400.00 so she was happy.. The wife lost $20.00

Got back from our last trip back in the middle of March. Had a five day trip planned starting today but had to cancel due the my wife having a medical issue. It will most likely take a couple of months for her recovering so we might not be able to travel until our next planned month long trip in Sept. S— happens!!

Actually we sold( I mean gave our trailer away) this March, and all ready talking about possibly getting a small class C. Same thing happened when we sold our 38’ motor home after we had fixed it up the way we wanted. We then went shopping for a smaller trailer and truck, now we’ve traded the truck and sold the trailer and talking about a class C, crazy. Just can’t get camping out of our blood. Lol

Use it or sell it. They are lousy lawn ornaments.
Leaving again in 10 days.

Our last trip of ’22 was Thanksgiving week. Usually we have a trip by March or April, but that didn’t happen this year. Our first trip is this coming weekend. After that, we have trips planned about once a month through Thanksgiving, most week-long ones, one 2-week trip. Since my husband isn’t retired, I think that’s pretty good – we work hard to plan around his days off, vacation days, and holidays to extend his vacation time. So far, I only have one solo trip planned.

We traveled 2 months ago and getting ready to travel the summer months. Then after 34 years we are done. Not like it use to be. Not worth the prices being charged. Someone is going to get a nice Dutchstar.

We returned from CA in August of ’21. The RV is now up for sale.

We go somewhere for 5 nights every month. Because of where we live, we have an infinite number of places to go each month…mountains, the coast, the desert. Love living and RV’ing in California…can’t beat the weather here either. Do not love the politics!

Agreed. We have 5 weeks booked on the Cali coast for August and the hopefully 7 weeks this fall for the Gulf Coast. We don’t live in Cali but still love to travel into Cali for much of our recreational time. Regardless the politics, it is still a beautiful state. Just need to travel with your head on a swivel through certain areas. Plan ahead, stay alert.

We haven’t been out since between the holidays last year, but are leaving next week for a 6-8 week camping/road trip. Up through Ca., Oregon,Washington, and into Canada. Not sure which way we’ll be heading home from the Banff area yet 🤔

My recommendation is to head south through Waterton Lakes National Park (Glacier in US) into St. Mary’s. The boarder crossing is a roadside shack (basically a tough shed) with one, sometimes two boarder agents max. Check for hours of operation. It’s a pretty straight shot through Turner Valley and Pincher Creek, and is a stunning drive through the area (Longview) that Costner shot the movie Open Range with Duval. If you want to stay more mountainous, head south from Fernie, BC or Kelowna but those would backtrack you West a little.

Terrific govt campground in Waterton Lakes Alberta. Book early on the Parks Canada website. Sooooo WORTH WHILE of a stop for a few days.

Safe travels.

Last weekend 200 mile trip to attend a family funeral. 2 days of quality time with my brother visiting family we don’t see often enough. 2 week trip in March to Louisiana and Texas, visiting friends. 2 week trip planned mid June to visit granddaughter in Wyoming.
She’s sitting in the driveway, gassed up, and ready to go at a moments notice!

The one I am in currently is new used RV and I love it. Great for seasonal use. I kept the 21 foot for off season travel. Not for seasonal living. So I am living in my RV for the summer. Happy Trails.

We returned from a 12-day trip just over a week ago. We don’t leave again for almost three weeks. That trip will also be about two weeks in length.

We were at two back to back rallies in early May on the Texas coast. Normally we would be on our summer trek north somewhere cooler, but alas health problems are slowing us down a bit this year. Hope all is well by June 8 and we will be on the road by June 15! We will see! We are preparing!

Two weeks away. You can do it! I hope all is well so you can head north this summer, albeit a little later than usual. Actually, have a great trip! (I know you’ll be on the road by June 15.👍) Take care. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
