Being Canadian, my answer reflected what we did in October.

We had a Friendsgiving in our RV park yesterday but specifically did not bring home leftovers because we’re pulling out today to make our way to Phoenix for the winter.

For the next couple of days then I’m goosed out. Then turn the rest of the goose to dog food. Only thing after day 2 is desserts.

Oh NO. I’m a big soup eater. Every kind except turkey. I’m thinking of becoming a vegetarian now.

This year I took some turkey for us and froze it before the turkey even hit the table. We managed to give away everything else. While I love the menu one day of that heavy rich food is enough.

Like so many people I know, we look forward to the leftovers. We’ll have hot turkey sandwiches covered with gravy, cold turkey sandwiches, turkey tetrazzini, and turkey soup over the next week. I purposely purchase a turkey much larger than we need just to ensure we have leftovers.

My wife made her biscuits and gravy for breakfast yesterday and my daughter made some tasty stuffing. I’ll be having both again today at some point.

My late wife would fix a 20 lb turkey for every holiday meal with all the Fi in’s in anticipation of the kids and their families being over. Then after the sons did their visits required at their in-laws and dropped by for a snack, I would eat turkey sandwiches for lunch the next 2 weeks. I could never convince her to buy a 12 lb turkey then I would only eat leftovers for a week.

For just the 2 of us, I would cut off one breast whole then put it & the thigh in the freezer for a couple of weeks. We then enjoy the other half over the next few days. A 12 lb bird doesn’t have all that much meat on it so I prefer at least a 16 lb’er. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was just my wife and me, so I made Cornish Game Hen. A nice substitute.

Yes, yes we did have leftover Thanksgiving lasagna for supper tonight. For lunch we had sandwiches. At breakfast we had a casserole made of eggs, sausage, and bread. So, only leftovers at supper.

Just me..Wife and Kat no longer with me..sad..
Anyways my great part-time neighbors brought over a swell plate with a full turkey meal, with desert!
I had chicken parts and rice earlier.
So tomorrow’s meal is decided.
So nice to have great neighbors and friends.
Take Care everyone out there!

Left overs?? What’s that? I make just enough for me.
